SCAM

Paid $20 for the year. The app doesn’t show anything in the surrounding area. When you click on the list of offenders it shows a blank screen

DO NOT GET

Im so sorry if this is incorrect but I definitely believe this is a big scam and possibly linked to trafficking. I saw a video of some girl saying how her dad was a cop and top things to do/not as a woman, and she recommended this app, so I downloaded it, and as it was installing I thought “wouldn’t it be crazy if they made an app to help girls be cautious of assaulters in their area, only for the app to sell their location to said people”, so looking up the app on tiktok, all the videos were the exact same, either a slide of a girls top tips from having a cop as a father, or a video of a girl with text saying how she didn’t expect to find so many people in her area, then proceeding to show her location on the app and pull up photos of some of the men who look oddly not real. Looking deeper into it, all the accounts had the same type of post over and over again, promoting this app, looking at the different photos of this app from the slides, a lot of the accounts had the same photo of a hand holding this app. In the end I was unable to find one real person who actually posted normally talk about this app, so its better safe than sorry to not install it.

Pay Wall

I think this app would’ve had potential if there wasn’t a pay wall for accessing the public record on predators and knowing where they are. It’s honestly messed up. $40 a month for public records. And $8 a week? No thank you

SCAM app with forcing a rating, required payment typical scammy stuff. Worst of all it doesn’t work!

We all know the app… Get you all excited to use it then ask for you to rate it, and then ask for money. Apple needs to end these scams. I think the idea of the app is really good, but this app is a joke. The developer must think that all us people are not paying attention. Please make the app work and I will change rating.

Gives you NOTHING

I was looking forward to some of what the screenshots showed, but every button you push leads to a paywall. They ask for all this information from me, but give me NOTHING in return? I can’t even verify if any of the “results” are valid, because everything is blurred out! Seems dishonest to represent the PAID version in the App Store screenshots and then present me with blurred out everything while requesting a paid subscription. Even closing the payment page leads to another payment page!

To profit off one’s safety

I thought that this app would’ve been free to the public considering it’s for our safety and we’re supposed to be able to look anybody up the fact that somebody decided that they wanted to profit and make money off of somebody’s safety is absolutely sick. Disgusting and demented makes me almost wonder if the person who created this app was a sex offender themselves should not try to profit off of one’s safety.

Seemed dubious to me

I was expecting to get a little value for my time, but there’s absolutely nothing you can do on the app without committing to a payment plan. How do I know these results are even real? Gives you NOTHING and expects a subscription right away. This isn’t an app, it’s an ad. Very deceptive!

Okay but has issues

I had an issue with the app defaulting my location to Los Angeles. I reported it to the developer, and they let me know they were looking into it, but I never received a follow up. It appears the issue was eventually fixed, but it would have been nice to hear back.

My biggest issue with the app is that about half the time, when I try to view an offender’s record, the screen goes completely blank with no way to return to the previous screen. It happens often enough that I have to close and reopen the app to continue using it.

Overall, the app feels buggy and fairly basic for the price. I’d also like to see more useful features, such as safety tips or guidance on how to protect yourself. As it stands, I’m sure there are better options available for the price.

Only works in U.S.

Downloaded this app after hearing about it on social media. Sounded like a great app until I found out it’s only available for people living in the United States and you can only input U.S. addresses. and not Canadian addresses. Immediately deleted as I live in Canada and this app isn’t inclusive of other countries.

Doesn’t work

This app is a scam- paid $19.99 and it doesn’t work or update location where you’re trying to search. My phone overheats when trying to use it. Can’t get ahold of support.

Great concept!

Great safety concept for parents and caretakers.

Handy Safety Map

A useful app for staying aware of what’s happening around you

Great safety tool

Easy to navigate. Helps me stay aware of my surroundings

Looks useful

Looks like a simple and useful app for checking safety information and alerts

Awesome

I love that it is very accessible! Very easy to use! And it makes me feel safer whenever I travel anywhere!

BEST APP

this app was super easy and useful

Useful safety tool

This app is really useful for staying aware of what’s happening around my area

Bad data and money scheme

This app is hardly functional and has very shady billing practices. If you close the pay page, a discount appears and won’t go away. Not sure how that’s allowed. Also they ask for a review before you can even try the app. Kind of ridiculous

Have to pay for safety

I think its absolutely ridiculous having to pay to learn about the predators that are in my area. I dont have the luxury to just be concerned about my safety anymore. I have to worry about someone else now!

JWS

You should highly consider downloading this App if you value the security of your family. Any convicted predator is marked on a map and tied to your location.
