Completely broken from the start
iPhone App just shows 5 slots for counters. Does nothing. No watch complication. I got suckered. Just wanted a simple tally app for the watch with a complication to make tracking easy - got nothing but an iPhone screen than does nothing.

Sorry, but you are misunderstanding the app. The Watch application is used to enter counters, NOT the iPhone app. The iPhone app only receives counters from the Watch app. Also, you must purchase the Show Counters upgrade to transmit the counters from the Watch to the iPhone app. As to missing complications, what model of the Watch are you using? The app doesn’t support every complication on every model. There are complications available for all models, just not all types of complications. The App Store shows complications available on several Watch faces. But you can run the Watch app directly to enter counters. Just press the digital crown and select it.
