Waste of money, doesn’t work with watch under a faucet.

Misleading app. The depth app is free and will tell you the temp if you are submerged. This app claims to give you a temp reading and then in the fine print it says you need to be submerged in a foot of water for a reading.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback — I'm sorry the app didn't meet your expectations, and I want to share some context on why it exists. You're right that the Apple Watch can only measure water temperature when submerged — that's a hardware limitation of the sensor itself, not something any app can change. The 1-foot requirement comes directly from Apple's own documentation for the Watch. I built this app out of a personal frustration while surfing — I wanted a way to see the water temperature during casual surface-level activities without the Depth app's limitations getting in the way. Two key differences: when you turn off Water Lock in the Depth app, it clears the temperature reading until you restart your dive. With Water Temperature, the latest reading stays on screen so you can use your watch for other things and still see the temp. Also, the Depth app automatically ends your session if it detects you've been out of the water for 10 minutes — so if you're in and out of the water at a pool or surf break, you may have to keep restarting. Water Temperature keeps your session running. This app is really meant for surfers, swimmers, casual beachgoers, and anyone doing surface-level activities where temperature matters more than depth — not as a replacement for the Depth app, but as a complement to it. If that sounds like it fits your use case, I'd love for you to give it another try with that in mind. If not, you're welcome to request a refund through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review.

Does Exactly What It Says It Does

I forgot my sons water thermometer when on holiday so wanted a guide to roughly know if the water is ok for him & this worked great on my Apple Watch Ultra. Thanks.

Response from developer

Thanks so much for the kind review — really glad it came in handy on holiday!

Only works on Ultra watch

I got a refund, and if I upgrade I will use the app!

Response from developer

Sorry the app didn’t run on your watch. Water Temperature requires a built-in water temperature sensor, so it isn’t supported on all models. You’re more than welcome to request a refund through Apple, and we hope you’ll keep us in mind if you ever upgrade to a compatible device.

Lost my money! I did not read the fine print!

Doesn’t work on AppleWatch

Don’t bother; waste of money. There is nothing that AppleWatch models you can use on.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback. Water Temperature only works on watches with a built in water temperature sensor, so it won’t run on other models. Feel free to request a refund through Apple, and we’d love to have you try the app again once you have a compatible Apple Watch.
