Unfortunately a failed app
Very disappointed in the app for navigating in the Mediterranean Sea. Route planning is a joke as it takes you out to something like 6 NM out from the coast line, only to take you back to destination at the coast, adding like double the time and distance. Apps usually follow the shortest and closest safe route to destination. Too bad.

While we do offer some coastal routes, our main focus is on rivers, canals, and inland waters, and our routing along the French coast is actually still under active development. Because safety is our absolute priority, our system is designed to be incredibly cautious, keeping vessels within tightly verified corridors rather than plotting a direct line across open deep-sea waters. This is likely why it guided you 6 NM out to ensure you safely cleared potential hazards while we continue to expand our maps. Whereabouts in the Mediterranean were you trying to plot your trip? Nur noch Abstürze, keine Routenplanu g mehr möglich. App Deinstallieren und komplett neu laden war die Lösung
Teuer geworden
Nutze die App seit Jahren. Nicht ganz fehlerfrei, aber insgesamt hilfreich. Allerdings wird sie langsam zu teuer. Da hilft auch der Rabatt nicht!

Downloaded the free trial version for use on U.K. inland waterways intending to take out a subscription if it was of any use. It wasn’t. Tracked across a few waterways in North Yorkshire and the lack of any useful information was startling. Many locks and bridges weren’t named, none had any details at all regarding max boat dimensions or air draft and I don’t recall seeing a single mooring point location. There is more info available on Google maps.

Umstieg hat sich gelohnt
Habe die App letztes Jahr bei einer Charter in NL kennen gelernt. Nach Erprobung dann dieses Jahr der Wechsel von Navionics zu Waterkaarten. Hilfreich war hierbei auch das angebotene Seminar im Vorfeld. Einbindung unseres AIS Transponders und des GPS unser Funkanlage Vesper Cortex M1 war problemlos. Wir waren jetzt 2 Wochen und 1300 km mit dem Boot unterwegs und konnten die App ausgiebig testen. Routenplanung und alle anderen Funktionen waren super einfach zu bedienen. Das Schöne war, dass wir drei Geräte auch parallel nutzen konnten.
Was mir gut gefällt ist die prompte Reaktion der Entwickler auf Anregungen oder Meldungen von Änderungen zB. bei Restaurants etc. Schön ist besonders die stets freundliche und persönliche Rückmeldung hierbei. Tolle App und tolles Team. Weiter so.

Complete out of date , the route was planned through a lock closed decades ago!!!!
Completely useless and dangerous,
A real help
Transitted the "Mast Up" route from Amsterdam to Vlissingen in July 24. I had just been introduced to Waterkaarten and found this a fantastic help going through the canals and with the bridges and locks on the way. It was so much easier than the last time I did thois a few yeasr ago without Waterkaarten. I would strongly recommend this app to anyone traveling the Dutch canals

Die App hat unsere Bootsreise durch Friesland zu einem Kinderspiel gemacht. Sie liefert komplette Informationen mit allen Daten und Telefonnummern zu Schleusen, Brücken und Häfen; die Routenplanung funktioniert problemlos.

Only a free trial
Clicked an ad and downloaded. Have to register only to find out it's a 7 day free trial. No mention anywhere that this was for a trial. Bit disappointing so deleted straight away.

Ich nutze diese App bereits seit sechs Jahren und bin sehr zufrieden mit den allgemeinen Informationen über die Binnengewässer in NL, wo ich unser Fahrgebiet befindet. Trotzdem gibt es einige Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten und Bugs, die einen fünften Stern rechtfertigen würden. Diese beziehen sich in erster Linie auf die Möglichkeiten der Kartendarstellung (z.B. Satelitenbild, 3D Darstellung für Häfen), sowie auf den Routenplaner, dessen automatische Routenermittlung nicht immer korrekt die Schiffsdaten berücksichtigt. Unbedingt automatisch generierte Routen vor Abfahrt überprüfen. Auch die automatische Anmeldung zur Brückenöffnung wäre super. Leider werden auch nach wie vor teilweise die Städtenamen beim zoomen nicht mehr angezeigt. Auch wäre eine Funktion sehr hilfreich, die das Zahlen des Liegeplatzes, oder zumindest das Scannen des Codes ermöglichen würde (wird ja immer häufiger verlangt). Fraglich ist, ob die Entwicklungsumgebung mit der die App programmiert wurde diese Punkte umsetzen kann.
Aber: trotzdem eine ganz klare Empfehlung für diese App.

Never had a better marine navigation app. All info needed, and much more, is there and always accurate. Highly recommend when navigating the European inland waterways
