Waiting for the remake and wipe so I can start over again. Always been a big fan of Dofus and Wakfu, Ankama strategy games. Ankama just does it right! Excited to see what’ll happen to Waven!

The gameplay is underwelming:
• Repetitive without Direction
• Bland Variety of Mechanics
• Balanced but Funless
My first impression was:
"Wow, this free game is beyond incredible"— after a few hours it became more and more underwelming.
The features seem to end at the tutorial— the world doesn't reveal if there is anything more interesting for our gameplay on the horizon.

This Game is a Unique Gem— perfect for someone;

Stand out game!
I don’t often leave reviews, I’m shocked this game doesn’t seem to be more well known! The character system creates tons of variety in how you play and is super fun from a deck building perspective. Lots of cool options and choices will still having enough of its own design to be charming, not overwhelming.

As an old fan and hardcore player of dofus this is the perfect next step. I hope it gets the attention it deserves

Ce jeu est vraiment un chef-d’œuvre, que ce soit la musique, le design ou même les combats !
J’espère qu’Ankama trouvera enfin le bon équilibre pour une vraie sortie officielle du jeu, un jeu définitif pour pouvoir en profiter pleinement sur la durée !
PS: un peu plus de skin avec des animations unique qui correspondent au skin en combat serait le bienvenu.

It’s depressing.
They announced full wipe and rework of the game like few years ago with premise to launch it in 2026. December 2025 they said they are working supposedly hard on it. Since that time - radio silence. Jesus, that must be the biggest developement hell ever existed.

Después de años jugando juegos de Ankama, puedo decir que siempre hacen lo mismo: Sacar un juego y un lore que la gente ama, y luego matarlo a base de ignorar a sus jugadores y realizar actualizaciones lentas y sin sentido.
Tras dos años de prueba, han decidido poner sobre la mesa una propuesta seria de Waven cambiando demasiados aspectos base porque “es lo que necesitan”.
Y con ello se han cargado, eliminado, ignorado, desprestigiado, infravalorado la comunidad y el juego de estos dos años.
Si lo sumamos a que el lore lo administran desde cliente cerrado, sus series de pago y su negativa a escuchar cualquier respuesta de sus jugadores, solo puedo decir que Ankama no vale la pena.
Waven ha muerto, Ankama lo mató. Pondrán cosas nuevas, pero que sentido tiene jugar si Ankama luego lo eliminará por capricho? Jugad a otras cosas.

Just my thoughts
pretty solid base gameplay but they kind of failed to update it enough for it to stay interesting , and now they’re pretty much starting fresh which I look forward to however if they don’t continually add new classes and islands then it will quickly grow stale again. Anyway if you’re looking for a laidback turn-based RPG with a bit of grinding and well done character design then this is a pretty good game, looking forward to the sacriers.
