Big error!!!

I had about 500 records on the Wax app on my iPhone. I installed it on my iPad and turned on iCloud sync, and my entire collection disappeared!!! How do I get it back? Bot sure this has been corrected before going back and trying this again. Luckily, I have since learned that my iPad still is the collection, so I have kept it offline so that it does not update.

Amazing app for record collectors

Also the developer is very handsome.

Wac

So far it kinda works, it left a lot of titles off when I uploaded my collection from Discogs and seems to confuse artists such as howling wolf became howling wolf’s band. Doesn’t seem to be anyway to print out the collection so it looks like I’ll need to re list the whole collection rather then have a list to check entries off. Also no support seems to be available but I could of missed a link.

Great app

Easy interface

Very disappointed

I have a large record collection and I want to organize them to track what I own. I read all the reviews and was excited......but soon discovered a disorganized convoluted system nearly impossible to navigate. I spent twenty minutes looking for US releases of Springsteen.........couldn’t find them. Same with Billy Joel, Zeppelin is a hodge podge. Feels like a site dedicated to people who like to show off their imports, not organize their collection so they don’t buy “Live at Leads” on accident again....might be useful to divide releases by country within artist, or maybe I just never found out how to do this. Anyway.....

FAQ

What does this app do?

This app is designed to help you meticulously catalog your entire music collection, with a strong focus on vinyl records. You can add details about each item, organize them into custom groups, track purchase history, and even add records that aren't found in any existing database. It aims to let you truly 'own' your collection by customizing every aspect.

How can I organize my collection?

The app offers a flexible organization system using 'Crates'. You can create regular Crates to manually group records by any criteria you choose, such as genre, label, or origin. Additionally, 'Smart Crates' allow you to set up a series of rules, and the app will automatically populate these crates with records that match your criteria, ensuring your organization is always up-to-date.

Is this app free to use?

The core functionality of the app, including cataloging vinyl records and organizing them, is free. However, to expand its capabilities to include searching for and adding music media of any format beyond vinyl, there is a $2.99 in-app purchase required.

What types of music media can I catalog?

The app is primarily built for cataloging vinyl records, allowing you to edit every detail. With a $2.99 in-app purchase, you can also search for and add music media of any format, effectively cataloging your entire music collection, not just vinyl.

Can I import my existing collection?

Yes, the app supports importing your collection from Discogs, a popular platform for music collectors. This feature allows you to easily transfer your existing catalog into this app, saving you the effort of manually entering everything again.
