Reliable
I have tried several different weather apps this year and this is the only one to consistently send me alerts that make noise. I get soundless banner alerts on others, and I probably messed up a setting, but I tried to make them all make noise. This one has a calm but assertive enough voice to wake me up and say exactly what is happening.

Ads?
I use the Weather app to actually look at the weather and not to be inundated with ads that I cannot exit from and that seemed to mess with how the app actually operates. Time to move on to a different app.
Tired of the advertisements
Will be switching to the WAND weather app. Not as many or no advertisements.
