Great app needs updated

Great app but needs serious UI upgrade and integration with other tools

This is why Apple should have 100% payment control

The vast majority of apps with in-app purchases are a simple double-click to pay with Apple Pay. Not only is this app WAY overpriced, but the vendor FORCES you to go through PayPal. From experience, my goal in life is to see PayPal go under... And Weather$pork can go with it.

Great xcountry tool

When flying the Cirrus on long trips this app is my favorite

Amazed

I don’t do reviews. Saw a recommendation for this app on a YouTube channel. Gave it a try this weekend and wow. The Route Profile and Grid View painted a 4D (time being the 4th dimension) picture in my mind. I could not believe how accurate this was on both Days I flew in unstable air in the southeast. It allowed me to choose the best Departure time so arrival occurred during the best weather. This is a game changer for me personally.

Not upfront about the cost

$79 per year was not clearly shown. It’s unfortunate they are charging so much.

Easy Decision Making

This is the best WX app for pilots. It consolidates all of the information needed to help make a timely go/no-go decision. Additionally, there is included training videos and tutorials on WX decision making processes. Quite simply it is a one stop shop for aviation WX.

Best flight planning app by a long shot

Nothing quite like it available, would never want to plan without it.

Excellent flight planning tool

Very useful in providing information to help pick the best departure time and altitude to fly. Unique and easy to understand route weather views .

READ THIS FIRST***

This APP is easily categorized “the BEST of the BEST”.

It is the WEATHER decision tool for the preparing pilot. It is not an ENTERTAINMENT APP nor is it a substitute for the commercial weather “forecast” services currently in distribution like weather.com

You use this APP for GO / NO GO flight decision making.

And yes to those critics who may not have read the description, this APP is based on the “pay for subscription” services of weatherspork.com There is no “bait and switch” techniques at play as several critics commented. The costs are clearly noted in the description.

This APP is constantly under development. It is so intertwined with modern day weather sources, the development and sophistication will likely continue for great lengths of time. It seems each update either clears up a rudimentary display from older presentations and/or brings us even better informational views.

I’m a FAN. I used to have dozens of bookmarked sites all presenting various tidbits of information; Weatherspork brings nearly all of these into one place. One visit – one extensive self-brief. How could I not be a fan of that?

Excellent product

I’ve been flying for 12 years without this app. That didn’t mean I don’t need it. I did the trial but didn’t really ‘try it out’. It’s not until I bought a year sub, then had some complex weather flying that I ‘tried it’ when it mattered. That’s when I fully appreciated the presentation of data.

Not free

This app is not free as it is depicted in the App Store. It has an extremely expensive subscription. I don’t know much about the app as I was unable to try it out however, the creator is one of the most knowledgeable weather meteorologists out there

No demo. Risk $79

No demo, gotta throw up $79 to even open it.

The missing link in GA WX planning

Title says it all. Go get a subscription. I first heard about WeatherSpork from Max Trescott’s Aviation News Talk Podcast at AirVenture 2018 then met Scott and heard his talk at the Cirrus Owners and Operators Association Migration 16 in Las Vegas. It’s really good stuff. It’s the app for the pilot that is both the wx expert and the pilot that just wants to be shown when is the best time to go. I really like that it graphically shows you across the entire route what you’ll expect. Easy decision making about altitudes for higher performance aircraft. Great app. I’m sure the new releases will make it even easier to use. Thanks, Scott!

A great weather tool for any pilot

When it comes to weather every pilot knows having the right information could be the difference between a go no go decision or even possibly your life if you make the wrong call and find yourself unprepared. For anyone who isn’t a fan of decoding METARS, SIGMETS, AIRMETS, etc. and this Apple definitely Eden giving you multiple visual representations of the current weather as well as the weather along your route. I use this app on a daily basis as part of my preflight brief to give me visual confirmation of the brief I get from 1800wxbrief.

$$$$

Please disclose UPFRONT the very expensive subscription fees. It’s an ethical issue.

Super useful for cross country flight planning

A very different and helpful profile view of weather systems that you might cross.

Very Helpful

This app is great. I use ForeFlight for flight planning but this is an extremely useful weather companion to help bring together all weather sources into a user friendly interface for determining best departure times and routes.

WARNING — Click bait!

NOT COOL! The app description does not disclose that a very expensive subscription ($80-120/yr.) is required to use it.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

A “MUST” for Pilots!

This App is simply amazing. Takes all of the information available regarding aviation weather, which is often times hard to understand, and puts in a simple easy to understand manner. As a pilot with more than 800 hours, weather understanding and simplification is something that I had struggled with throughout the years. This APP makes it easy to understand and helps tremendously plan your trip. Please do not think about twice and get it. You will be grateful that you did!

Profile view priceless

This app has a profile view that covers forecasts or a route that is my go to app for planning and the whole reason i bought the app. Shows cloud levels, freezing, winds etc in such an intuitive and powerful design that it’s cut down my planning process by at least half. No more sorting through metars and Tafs or clicking endlessly on foreflight, or needing to look through skewts
