Not user friendly
Recently moved to the area from Raleigh and downloaded the WECT app. as you scroll down the list of stories, the size of the font is so large that you can only see a few words of each story, meaning you have to open each individual article to really see what it’s about to determine what you wanna read about. Complete waste of time in my opinion. Compare this to WRAL app in Raleigh and you’ll see what I mean.

Fonts too small to read
This new format fonts in the list of articles is too small to read for sight impaired people. This was not the case in the last format.

Difficult to read as the fonts are smaller and I agree with the other reviewers.
Missing the old app
I feel this new app is generic, just like many news apps. Where is the Zeam to watch previous newscasts? Weren’t there more selections in old app like traffic?
Bring back the previous version
The new release is clunky, visually difficult to read, and they have added a video at the top of every article that automatically plays which interrupts reading an article to wait for the ad to stop in order to stop the video. I understand that ads pay for the service to be free to viewrs, but now the amount of ads outweigh the actual news articles. WECT needs to revert back to the old version or reinvent this one.

New update....
I used to look at my WECT app for news. Felt WWAY didn’t have all the news. With this new update, I just deleted the WECT app and will only go to WWAY for local news.

Where Ads Come First
This has so many ads, one can hardly determine what is the news.

Why are there ads to view a local report. Headlines have no information then force you to view an ad to see. Very scammy
App of no use
Stories on app won’t open on iPhone or iPads.

This app is not good. They push serious news stories out then when you click on them it shows some random ad for games that you have to watch before you can close it to get to the news. Not good.
Very Bias
Very Liberally bias. Has some good stories and some good information. But they overall can’t toe the line and stay impartial. They feed disinformation just like an of the other major political news agencies.
Why so many stars
I honestly can’t understand why this app has so many stars. It’s is full of junk adverts nobody wants to see before getting to junk stories. Badly organized as well.

Full audio ads and horrible headlines
Breaking news headlines vague on purpose, followed by full video and audio ads each time you try to read the poorly edited story.
So it’s like click bait with ads.

Bias & Poor Reporting
WECT consistently reports with obvious bias, and please; for the love of all things holy, stop linking a headline that has zero to do with the actual article! WWAY does a much better job!
Game advertising too aggravating
I like being able to receive news alerts & go them to get more information, but this popup advertisement for a game is too persistent & very hard & time consuming to dismiss. Please let us “x” out easier than the way it is now!
