App is substandard

The Whalen Premier Fireplace app is very buggy. Most of the time when I try and open the app, the Home Screen appears and immediately closes. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it in hopes of fixing the issue but this has not worked. It is obvious that the company needs to invest resources in the app to improve it. The fireplace itself has been great.

Control at your finger tips

It is nice not having to keep track of the remote !!

The only thing I would change ( not sure it is even possible ) but can we get an option of changing the volume … or control the volume of the beep????

If someone falls asleep and we try to change the temp or turn it off or on … the beep is loud and wakes them up ….

Not working

Just purchased the fireplace and the temp is reading a blinking 88 and even when I unplug and wait 5 min it doesn’t work bit resumes blinking super frustrated!! Need assistance

App works but hate the beeping sound

Can you add an option to removing the beeping sound every time we change the setting. It beeps louder than my tv.

Does not work

I was forced to download the app - my dog found the remote. It doesn’t work at all. It cannot even find the fireplace. I spent too much time trying to scan - and was not able to get any results. I deleted the app. Such a shame - I love my fireplace.

Love the fire place hate the app

We have had this for over a year and waited to write a review. Love the fireplace hate the app. It doesn’t work. I’ve uninstalled it, renamed my fireplace, and nothing works. Ever! Glad the product itself is a good product, but I wanted to warm my living room before I got out of bed to take the chill out of the air. Guess I’ll have to wait for an upgrade.

Terrible application

The fireplace does not stay connected. The app does not change the actual settings when connected. Bought the fireplace because of the Bluetooth feature. Wish I would have purchased something else.

App Does Not Work!!

My App worked at first then suddenly didn’t. I have deleted and readied and it still doesn’t work. I was sitting here watching tv and all of the sudden the heater comes on. No fire just heat. My phone wasn’t working with the app, wasn’t even touching it and the remote was across the room in a drawer. Just hope it doesn’t catch fire when we aren’t home because it’s possessed.

Doesn’t work

We have gotten the app to work on our cell phones twice out of the 5 days we have owned the fireplace. Yesterday it finally worked and we could turn the fireplace on and off and do whatever we wanted. We were excited and now it’s back to not working again. Very inconsistent.
