Impressive App
Wow! I’m very impressed with this app. I’m not a fan of apps that require you to place your phone on the actual vinyl record. It seems to me the weight of the phone would result in an inaccurate reading. The Whirlometer app is great because there are three different ways to measure the RPMs. My favorite is using a small magnet on the label part of the record and enable the magnetometer setting. One benefit is there is no subscription fee like many other apps. I tested the accuracy of the app by placing a piece of blue painter’s tape on the side of the turntable platform and counted the number of revelations for 3 minutes which should be 99.99 rpm’s. Get this app! You won’t be disappointed!

I do not own any turntable now I thank you and appreciate your work in making this app. You broaden my knowledge (what a magnet can integrate with the app). Most importantly no tracking. Just wondering if this app can be used to check rpm in other fields. (Say car engine).

Saves my LP experience
I thought my Audio Texhnica LP60 was running a bit fast but it doesn’t have a strobe meter to check. This no frills app is pretty simple to use and verified that it was running too fast on 33 and 45RPM. After lots of tweaking with a screwdriver underneath the turntable, I checked with the app and against streaming versions of songs and I got it at the right speed. Hopefully I won’t need to check again for a long time. Well done, developers.

It works
I tested this against a fancy strobe&disc combo. This worked perfectly and yeilded the same result. But without the extra hardware. Nice.

Took a little bit to figure out how it works. But found my table was a wee fast. I could hear it was off when I tried to play guitar along with a record.
It said it was 33.7 rpm’s . After adjustment and checking with this app , it now says 33.3 rpms. And it does sound in tune with my guitar now. Great !

Shockingly effective
I took a chance on this app because I could hear that my records were off pitch. It took some getting used to how it works, but my records sound the way they should. Thanks to the developer!
Easy to use and very accurate
I was going nuts using a digital recording as a reference with no avail. Thanks to this smart app the paper on my TT is perfectly tuned.

I was so surprised at how accurate this was. I’d normally use other apps that require putting your phone on the plate, but those usually cost money or scam you with in-app purchases. I’m go glad this app was free! I was able to get my player spinning at exactly 33.3 rpm, and I was also able to adjust my 45 rpm setting!

Pleasantly surprised!
My TT was almost unusable, due to my records always playing faster and higher pitched. I was skeptical at first, but after using the app I found out that it was spinning at 34.8rpm! After a couple quick tweaks I got the speed dialed in to 33.3rpm and since then my TT has never seen so much use. Thank you to the brilliant devs who put this together!
