Terrible sorting options
We need the ability to sort imported files by their file creation time, or by their titles using natural sort. When I batch import 10 files, they come in all jumbled. A calendar or day through stepper would be nice too.
Terrible app
Sometimes it doesn’t record. I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t continue to record if I go to another app. I have missed a lot of information with this app.
Poor App, lots of inaccuracies
The Mac app performs reasonably well, but the iPhone app falls short. Translation accuracy is often poor, and the summaries generated are frequently inaccurate. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations, and I wish a refund were available. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this app.

Leider Crash-Anfällig
Ich nutze Whisper seit einem Jahr hauptsächlich zur Erstellung von Transcripten. Anfangs dachte ich: Wenn die Sprecher-Erkennung besser wird, dann ist die App absolut topp. Die Sprechererkennung ist mittlerweile recht gut, nicht perfekt. Ein Problem ist jedoch, dass die App seit eineigen Monaten immer wieder Fehler ausspuckt, dass das Modell corrupt sei (egal welches Modell man auswählt). Mal wird es durch Updates besser, mal hat man den Eindruck es wird noch übler. Es ist absolut nicht nachvollziehbar warum die App beim Transcribieren aussteigt. Es handelt sich immer um den gleichen Dateityp (Video).
Manchmal hilft es das Modell zu wechseln, dafür stürzt diese Modell dann bei einer anderen Datei ab. Wenn das nicht aufhört, nützen mir auch neue Features nichts und ich muss mir etwas anderes suchen… Das wäre sehr schade, denn gerade der Einmalkauf ist schon ein echtes Argument für Whisper.

Watch out Mac users
All features, including the one I really needed, are not available on Intel-based Macs. Speaker detection was critical, and of course this didn’t work.

On device transcription model not working
We haven’t been able to get the on device local transcription model to work on iOS or iPadOS. It attempts to transcribe, but doesn’t generate anything.

Eu comprei a versão completa no meu macOS, sendo o mesmo aplicativo da mesma empresa não me dá acesso a versão do iOS. Se eu soubesse não teria comprado no Mac. PESSIMO!
Excellent, well-designed app
This app gets a lot of things right and has a very nice native macOS design. Even perusing the settings is a joy compared to some other apps!

Broken on Sonoma
App is completely broken on Sonoma, and there's no way to roll back. Transcription hangs at 99%. GPU is no longer used regardless of how settings are set. What a joke.
Easy to use and very close accuracy for Portuguese
Easy to use, and the accuracy for Brazilian Portuguese was very good (not excellent, but very good). It would be interesting to add a feature to define timestamp lengths… I would like to define a timestamp every 5 or 10 min, so it is easy to find specific parts on the audio. Currently the timestamps are based on dialogs, but sometimes there are some lengthy dialogs. Overall, I will recommend this to friends.

Great app!
I purchased the full Pro version of this a long time ago, and it’s shocking to me how—even after all this time of asking and waiting—Whisper still cannot create transcripts with paragraph breaks. The entire transcript comes out in one massive paragraph. The “Segments” option is equally useless because every single sentence is then placed in its own paragraph. Who writes or reads like this?!
For a 30-40 minute speech, this is absolutely agonizing and tedious to fix. If humans can intuitively listen and generally know when a new paragraph should start, AI should be able to reasonably decipher where the natural breaks are in a speech, based on the audible pauses or subject matter.

The app is not intuitive, not convenient
... and the app itself recommends one uses the free voice memo app for longer recordings. Why pay then? Developer needs to make a better version, connect it to the desktop version, etc.
Unusable
Minimum functions aren’t even free to use, unlike the macOS app. This iOS app is unusable without subscription upfront
Please Add Support for YouTube Videos
The app desperately needs to be able to take sources such as YouTube or other social media and transcribe them from the share function.
Complete Rip Off - Can’t Copy text without being extorted
Unfortunately, these guys will be making money by exploiting people’s ignorance. You can literally spend 10 minutes asking ChatGPT or Claude or Gemini or whatever your preferred LLM is and it will take you through the extremely simple download and use of many free options out there that do exactly the same job. I guess, if you just like to burn money for fun, then this is the app for you. So shameful to see them not even allow copy and pasting on the unpaid version.

Extremely disappointed
The mobile app can’t at all work with the desktop one. It can’t even open the whisper files! Ridiculous!!!
Not great
Downloaded and start. Immediately hits you with a pay wall with no obvious way to try. Can’t even quit the app. Had to force quit.
Complaint against Jordi tech support!
App is not working properly not working at all. Tech support non responsive. Refund is not available. Waste of time and nerves. Worst app ever!
