Scanning

Lots of items under package search is Not Found. Very frustrating. Should be a way to add those items and be reviewed to eventually see if compliant or not. Bar codes seem to have multiple items which becomes overwhelming while in the store.

Missing so many items

Most things I scan say not found. Kind of useless

Just got it

Not user friendly.

My scanner does not work.

I hit scanner and page is black.

Not worth it

I was super excited to find this app as I am about to start a whole30. Unfortunately it’s completely useless, not at all user friendly, the barcode scanner is not helpful at all. It just identifies the same ingredients over and over or multiple times. The search identifier doesn’t do much better, the app database doesn’t even have simple, common ingredients. In the drop down menu there is a feedback section… which doesn’t open. Overall it doesn’t help, complete waste of $2.99. Sorry app developers, this one was a miss.

Whole 30 essential

I use it every day during my yearly whole 30. Works great.

Don’t trust

More and more I have found that this is in accurate. One item had sugar and it said approved. Next item had canola and it said approved.

Not good

Most this say “item not found” it glitches and closes a lot, and it has stayed just freezing when I take a picture and I have to close out and go back in. When it works and finds the item it is great, but needs a lot of work for sure.

Don’t wast your money

Not Whole30 app. Stinks!

Updates

I think this is a great app, when it comes to scanning to see if items are approved, however as new foods come out or labels being updated I have found the app will not scan or stay item not found. How does the developer ensure the application is updated?

Scanner won’t scan

I tried a dozen items this morning to scan with the camera and it only picked up one.

Love this app

This app is so helpful! Eating Whole Foods and to figure out what I can eat, I just type in the ingredient. Thanks for creating this app💕

Limited content

This website is not very attractive and not very useful when searching items for the cost of purchasing the app. I have found more things on Pinterest than here

Not what expected

Save your money. This app is useless. I thought as a paid app it would have more uses and features vs simply looking up whether or not a food is whole 30 approved. Barcode Scanner did not work for me. Journal like adding a note. Not impressed.

This app is extremely helpful! Thank you!

Frustrating

I want to like it but it makes my blood pressure rise like a biscuit (which I cannot have on the Whole 30.) Save your money, read the package label instead of trying to get the barcode scanner to actually work. App leaves much to be desired, not appealing, not user friendly.

Could be better

I read the reviews before purchasing and bought it anyway. It is helpful to scan barcodes to see if foods are approved or not without having to read the ingredient label. The problem I have found is the app saying “not approved” when in fact the ingredients label confirms it is an approved food. There are way too many scans I have done on foods that aren’t in this data base-including name brand foods. Sometimes it takes the camera a while to capture the barcode, which is frustrating.the app isn’t esthetically pleasing; it’s design is basic. If I had spent more than $3 on it I would be pretty mad.

Don't waste your money

For a free app, this would be great. The barcode reader often either didn't recognize foods or gave me a completely different food than what I scanned and said it wasn't whole 30 compatible when it in fact was. The ingredient search also didn't include almost every ingredient I was looking for, such as chia seed. Those were the two big reasons I downloaded it and neither measured up.

scanner not very helpful

not worth the $2.99 most food items either didn’t show up at all or it stated that it’s not found.
is there a refund option?

Knock off waste of money.

The barcode scanner doesn’t recognize any foods and will instantly say ‘approved’ and then ‘not found’ which is confusing.

In ‘single ingredients’ section it couldn’t find steak, or potatoes!? Two simple ingredients this app can’t find.

Not good way to log food, no good way to find out if foods accepted or not.

Go to the real whole 30 site NOT this knock off.
