Terrific Blocking App

Everyone needs this app! After downloading and configuring settings, the app blocked SMS spam from numbers I receive several times per day. Plus, you can import blocked numbers from the companion app, Spam Call Blocker. I had questions regarding configuration and the developer responded with help right away. Highly recommend!

I want to make sure there is no misunderstanding, so I’m asking this as clearly as possible:

If I purchase the “lifetime license” for this app, does that guarantee that I will never be required to pay any additional fees in the future to continue using the app with all updates and features?

In other words, does “lifetime” truly mean a one-time payment for ongoing access to the app and its future updates, without any additional charges—regardless of how the app evolves?

Additionally, can you confirm that this lifetime license will continue to apply to this app itself, and that future updates or versions will not require purchasing a separate or “new” app to maintain the same functionality?

I would appreciate a simple “yes” or “no” to these questions so I can make an informed decision.

Update: Based on your response, perhaps you missed the point I was making. I simply copied a review that led me to question your “Lifetime license” purchase of the in-app purchase and whether at some point in the future you would require an additional amount based on what you determine are major updates…

I’m glad I came across this review before making a purchase. I was seriously considering buying the lifetime license, but after reading both the user’s experience and your response, I’ve decided not to move forward with your app at all.

A “lifetime” purchase should mean exactly that. Changing that expectation later doesn’t build trust. Wishing you the best, but this approach has made it an easy decision for me to look elsewhere.

Honestly iOS does a decent job of filtering calls and texts anymore unless it remains free for past purchases I probably will be dumping the products.

My phone is enjoyable again

This is the SMS filter I’ve been looking for, no more political ads, no more spam… just the texts I want to see. I’ve been using the paid version for over a year, it’s never failed me and keeps getting better with every update!!! Dev is super responsive to questions too. 10 of 10 will recommend. If someone says it’s not working, it’s because they haven’t enabled it in settings properly.

Great app everything works except texts from email addresses. Let me rephrase. It doesn’t block senders using their email address to send sms messages.

Very very effective

It’s amazing how hard I get hammered with texts from political groups looking for $$$. The first few weeks I was adding filters like crazy, now after several weeks the amount that gets through is one to three a week. Nice. Being filtered to Junk messages, makes it easy to scan them (if you’re paranoid that one of them is important; you’ll get over it) since they’re all in one place and not mixed in with your regular texts. Highly recommend this app. I’m going to install it on my wife’s phone, and export the list to her. Sweet.

Terrible new icon.

Why does this app think it’s so special that it needs to be the only one with an ugly new 3D icon? It’s giving iOS 1-5 and that’s very much not a good thing. Stop reaching so far to make up reasons to change things.

Not all features are working

In the smart blocking rules I have “block SMS from emails” checked but that doesn’t stop spam messages from emails. It does recognize and blocks other options such as messages with web links.
Updating to 5 stars after developers response.

Bonjour, je ne suis pas sûr de vous avoir compris, mais cette application permet uniquement de bloquer les SMS et MMS, par numéros de téléphone et mots-clés. Pour bloquer les appels téléphoniques, il existe une autre application : WideProtect Spam Call Blocker. Son fonctionnement est différent en raison des restrictions techniques d'iOS. Si vous avez besoin d'aide concernant les paramètres, veuillez m'envoyer un e-mail (bouton Aide sur l'écran). Merci ! Hi there, I am not sure that understand you, but this application is only for SMS and MMS blocking, by phone number patterns and keywords. To block Phone Calls there is another application - WideProtect Spam Call Blocker. It uses another conception due to iOS technical restrictions.
