Mobile payments broken

Tried to use the app for public transportation during visit to Vienna. None of the payment options for buying tickets / passes via app worked. I tried Apple Pay, PayPal, manual entry credit card. Non functional.

Don’t waste your time trying to use this app. Just buy a pass at station or on train.

Never works

I’ve tried every single credit card: Apple Pay, and also scanning my physical cards, it rejects every single transaction and sends an email saying that there was suspicious activity. And that’s after spending too much time creating an account, confirming it. Real hassle to set up. So I’ve been having to buy tickets at the ticket machines, which are more expensive. I would give zero stars if I could.

Très bonne app

Je suis très surpris des avis très négatifs, mais j’ai utilisé cette app pour mes vacances et pas de soucis de mon côté
Application intuitive, tickets à acheter facilement ainsi que l’abonnement
Attention lors d’un achat d’un ticket simple, le ticket s’active automatiquement juste après, donc ne peut pas être pris trop en avance

Waste of time and stressful

The onboarding is much too complex for buying tickets to hop on a bus, subway, or tram. Give yourself several moments before you need it to do this. It never worked for me. Tried several times to buy tickets but they never went through. Ended up just buying single tix at station kiosks for subways. Deleted this piece of junk.

Genau was brauche…

…wenn ich Urlaub in Wien mache. Da das ÖPNV-Netz für mich durchaus sehr verwirrend sein kann. Die App sagt mir genau wo und mit welcher/m Bahn/Bus ich von A nach B komme. Ausgezeichnet.

Awful on-boarding

20 minutes to make an account. Captcha verification was super slow ! Is it really necessary to ask for personal address for buying tram tickets ? They make you create a wienlog account and then ask again for the same information. Worst on-boarding experience ever. Really sucks !

Multiple attempts with both credit card and Apple Pay unable to successfully complete transaction.

Terrible App

Absolutely does not work. App takes you through a bajillion step process just to buy a single ticket. Then you get to the end and payment doesn’t work at all.

Shocking hostile garbage

Incapable of selling a ticket without demanding heaps of invasive personal information. You do not need my full name, date of birth, verified email address, and international home residential address, to sell me a bus ticket. Then it craps out on multiple payment methods - Apple Pay failed, PayPal failed, direct card failed x3. Doesn’t work at all without a permanent data connection. Meanwhile I’ve booked two tours and a vehicle transfer in another app. The routing advice does not connect through to the ticketing, either. Designed by pompous bureaucrats who hate consumers and implemented by incompetents. This is all in stark contrast to a similar app I used last week for Prague, which had none of these issues. In the end I gave up this heap of garbage and called an Uber. Be very ashamed of yourselves, Vienna.

Doesn’t accept payments

We tried in early July (5-7) and couldn’t buy tickets on the app; it wouldn’t accept payment and just spun and timed out. We tried multiple times with different combinations of cards directly and Apple Pay. Bank has no record of authorization. Fix the app.

rubbish app-doesn’t work-don’t waste your time

This app asks many questions, makes you fill too many forms of registration, and never completes payment! I bought my tickets from the machine

Avoid Vienna

Highly recommend avoiding Vienna. I got shaken down by security for a “fine” payment at a subway station, even after paying the fare. Unless you’re planning on paying over €100 for no reason I’d stick to Budapest or Prague.

Please note that a ticket purchase is only successful when the ticket appears in the “My tickets” section of the app and you receive an email order confirmation. If a payment fails or no ticket is shown, no valid ticket has been issued. If a ticket purchase has actually taken place, this is clearly traceable in our system. Peu fonctionnelle

Cette appli se bloque tout le temps. À chaque fois je suis obligée de la désinstaller et la réinstaller pour pouvoir acheter mes tickets.
Je n’ai pas d’explication pour les blocages. Ça se produit n’importe quand. L’appli fonctionne et 5 minutes après elle ne fonctionne plus. Et c’était comme ça tous les jours. J’étais parfois obligée de la désinstaller plusieurs fois avant que ça ne fonctionne.

Geniale App für alle Wien-Besucher

Sehr übersichtliche und benutzerfreundliche App. Zu den gewählten Startpunkten/Zielen werden in kürzester Zeit verschiedene Routen vorgeschlagen, dazu wird jeweils eine Karte mit der Streckenführung angezeigt. Trotz aller Begeisterung noch ein unverschämter Wunsch: Vielleicht könnten auf der Karte noch die U-Bahnstationen zur Orientierung angezeigt werden. Dafür würde ich in der Bewertung noch einen 6. Stern reinbasteln :-)

Lacks basic functionality

This app lacks support for essential features, e.g. telling you which ticket is needed for the travel - something that I’ve never seen missing in other cities. Also, the length of the log in process and consequently time wasted is out of proportion to just buying a single ticket.

I store my digital annual pass

If I could add the annual pass to my wallet, I’d be equally happy. I got my annual pass in the mail & was pleased to see it was already registered to the app.
It is nice having a backup of the card

Lack of privacy

Requires a totally unreasonable amount of personal data just to buy a bus ticket. Lame.

App got us fined

The 7 day pass does not make it clear that it does not include the single stop between the airport and the “city zone” we were each fined €105 for a €2 ticket we were supposedly missing. The app makes no mention of where the city zone ends when purchasing the ticket. Really put a downer on the whole trip. Overall we feel scammed.
