The very best ways to really boost WiFi

What’s the very best way to really boost your WiFi connections? Simply do what some restaurants recommend. Mount your device on top of your suspended, ceiling tiles. Turns out that most WiFi antennas push their signal straight down. So run your Ethernet cables into the back of your WiFi router mounted just under the ceiling at the end of your hallway about a foot below. This will put it near the center of your house. If you have two floors put it on the floor near the center of the house or just above the main hallway to the bedrooms.

As a plus this will help with moving them away from the things that could be blocking them such as refrigerators, freezers, stoves, or other appliances.

The article states that the worst places to move them is in a corner on the floor.

The old adage is so so true a radio is only as good as it’s antenna. And the higher a antenna the better. Guess that you could mount it upside down to the ceiling. Most good restaurants have them installed in the main dining room just over your heads. They call single antennas (nodes). My library has three different ones, one for kids, one young adults, and one for everyone else depending upon what area of the library they’re in.

Ambeent or “Absent”?

It should be the latter because this “app” is absent of any useful feature or purpose. Locks up after scanning. Utter rubbish. AVOID.
