Not the largest database, terrible offline maps
Missing a lot of sites that are on Campendium. Also the offline maps take hours to download and pause when the app is in the background
WOW what a great app
Have used the Australian version for many years and it is fantastic. The American one is coming along well, just needs more people using it, adding more photos and reviews and it will be the go to app for camping.
Fantastic place to find an RV spot
I am in Australian trave through the US with my RV and this is convenient to use. I also use it in Australian as well. Great to find everything you need while traveling would recommend this application.
More to add
Could be customised better in the search bar searching for particular predictives
Great!
It’s been my sleeping guide during my car road trip. Very useful
Great app for traveling
Includes points of interest, campgrounds, information spots, water and dump points.
Loving this app
I know this app is predominantly for camping but it would be nice if more tourist spots would be included as well, rather than having to drop pins all the time. It is great for keeping record of where you have been and the reviews make travelling so much easier.
Works great
Easy to use and works great!
WikiCamps usa
Précise to 99%
Brilliant app
The best camping app. Once more use it it will be as popular as the Aussie version
Best app for quick referencing of camping spots
There’s a few other apps out there listing and hosting camping spots, but they all have some type of paid feature you have to sign up for. I love Wikicamps as it gives you all you need to find a camp and then make contact direct with management, a good chunk offline too
Great Travel Tool
Proved to be an ideal app to plan before, during and add to after a journey
Awesome!!!
You have to try and enjoy all the help it provide.
Very useful app
The best app for finding a campsites and free parking spots.
Wouldn’t Recommend For Dispersed Camping
Bought the app trying to find dispersed camping spots within the National Forests in WA State. The only ones that show up are rest stops and parking lots on the major highways. Very little information on finding dispersed camping on forest roads which is what I was looking for and no free trial to test it out.

The best kept secret app for adventurers
Be safe and travel with all necessary supplies. Some of these camps are out in the sticks, a long way from easy contact and sometimes without service. Plan accordingly. Live free.
Essential app for overland travel
Along with another app, iOverlander, WikiCamps is our go-to app for finding places to camp nearly every night. WikiCamps has one big plus over the other app, and that is that you are able to download regions in advance INCLUDING THE MAP LAYER, so that when you inevitably lose cell signal you are still able to use the map to locate your destination. The “other” app allows download of all the data for a region, but without the map, which makes it a little less friendly when you lose service.
We use WikiCamps every day and will not hesitate to purchase other country versions when we are finished in US and Canada.
