Wilinggin Welcome

The Wilinggin Welcome App carries the voices of Ngarinyin people to travellers on the Gibb River Road. As you drive through the central Kimberley, the app plays short audio when you reach places along the way, sharing how Ngarinyin people understand this Country and care for it. The app is made and governed by Wilinggin Aboriginal Corporation, the organisation that holds and speaks for this Country. The stories come from Ngarinyin people, and your visit helps support their work looking after Country. What the app does: - Plays audio at places as you travel, using your device location. - Lets you listen at your own pace at river crossings, gorges, and stops along the road. - Works offline once downloaded, for the long stretches with no phone reception. The Gibb River Road runs through living Ngarinyin Country. The app is a way to travel it well, guided by the people who belong to it.
