Wildly inaccurate now for SW Nova Scotia. Experiencing wind gusts today 60-70kph. Windy says 18

The best weather app by far. Always accurate and absolutely worth the subscription!!! This is the ONLY APP I use for weather!

What happened to Windy???
This used to be such a great app. Unfortunately at every turn Windy.com is trying to take more and more money from its subscribers. Not to mention the sale of subscribers emails to junk mail spammers. A new email to test this theory was made and sure enough I’m getting emails soliciting sex and also foreign wives. Not to mention the scammers.
What happened to the good ol days of ads and user donations? I would gladly watch ads to have Windy back.
2026 edit. Still more of the same. The developers continue to find ways to Squeeze more money out of people.
Free version now super limited and hardly reliable. Still shameful to say but it’s better than any Canadian weather source. I’m a long time user and would have supported this app monetarily but for sudden greed and disrespect to those who cannot afford a paid version.
If you can find a cheaper alternative for your area I’d suggest supporting it. Unless you’re into extreme capitalism. Which destroys economies. Sorry windy but if something is taking anyone’s shirt off their back it should be the actual wind. Not you.

This killed the ability to always show 1hr forecasts. Despite toggling multiple setting of this on every time app closes it resets.
