Seldom works

The finder worked twice in the 4 months. You never see the AR satellites, just direction arrows that change so fast it’s hard to follow. Even when I know where the satellite is, this app doesn’t show them.

Owner

I have Trav’ler Pro 2. Had it 2.5 years. Used it 6 times. Every time was an hour hassle to set up-so much for hot the bottom and go! Now I called help line. I have to crawl up and take the odu down and send that and the box for a $475 fix. Junk. Junk. Junk.

FAQ

What does the TV Signal Finder app do?

This app helps you locate available TV satellites and free over-the-air HDTV towers for your geographic location. It uses augmented reality to guide you in positioning your antenna for the best signal reception.

How does the augmented reality feature work?

The augmented reality (AR) view allows you to point your phone towards the horizon and rotate 360 degrees. It helps you visualize and avoid obstructions like trees or buildings, and find the optimal angle to point your antenna.

What are the two main modes of the app?

The app has two modes: Antenna Pointer, which uses a map and AR view to find HDTV towers, and Satellite Pointer, which uses AR to locate specific satellite providers like DISH or DIRECTV.

Is this app compatible with all antennas?

The app is compatible with both auto-point and manual-point antennas. It specifically supports antennas for DISH, DIRECTV, BellTV, and Shaw Direct.

What information does the app provide for setup?

For HDTV towers, it provides FCC OTA information, channels, call signs, networks, and distance. For satellites, it offers azimuth and elevation pointing look angles for easy setup of manual antennas.
