Absolutely amazing companion! The visuals work perfectly with the game and truly look official. The app is well priced. I would love of the app had a built in tracker of stats. Such as best scores and total wins/losses, etc. Also having profiles to select when playing a game. But this may add clutter to this perfectly simple game. Overall, great game and thanks so much for making!

Great App
While Stonemeyer provide a free scoring app, this app has better scoring, allowing feather point scoring with very few touches. The random selection of round goals and start player are also nice touches. The free app is good, this app is great.
Fantastic program, but can’t download Americas
A fantastic program, especially when playing with Automa. However, I cannot download the Americas—it doesn’t show up in the store.

Godsend for Automa players- massively speeds up the game. Decently priced unlock with no subscription, app seems regularly updated. Good stuff.
Makes Automa fun!
Using Wingmate makes playing Wingspan Automatic fun and easy. Before Wingmate I struggled with the Automa. It has been updated for the other “Span” games as well.

I’ve had WingMate companion for 2.5 years. Free app...great features. Then they added a paywall. You can’t add a paywall for zero new features after you’ve been giving away your app for years. I should be grandfathered in to the previous version where it was free because it’s literally always been free. Awful developers. You should be ashamed of yourself.

This is such a great app for all of us who LOVE to play using automa. I only wish the developer would make one for other stonemier games as well. Or Earth!!! Please Please Please!

App doesn’t work and keep crashing
Impossible to generate a game against automa without the application crashing. It's frustrating to be asked to pay for an app that doesn't work on new iOS devices, this is theft. I won't be renewing after this 7-day free trial.
I suggest you don't download and pay anything for this app, you can find a free automa online! It's a shame because I thought the idea of an app was good. Please stop laughing at people and do something about the problem.

This app is so worth it! I absolutely love it and I can’t imagine playing without it. I love playing solo, so this makes it so much easier. I hope they are working on the integration of the Asia expansion for both multiplayer and solo gameplay/scoring. Looking forward to it!

It says you can test out with single player scoring but you can’t, the only option is to pay or start a free trail.
Update: thanks for the response. I had deleted the app but I re-downloaded and tried again and I can score. Gave it a shot and decided to purchase. Great app 😊

Can’t Play Without It
I almost never review apps, but my partner and I play Oceania’s Automarazzi co-op mode all the time (over 70 games at this point), and we couldn’t imagine not playing with WingMate.
The ability to run Automa with just a few taps, without having to worry about keeping track of their supply, round cards, Automa deck, etc is such a time saver.
Outside of just Automa, WingMate is by far the best way to score your games. Beats the Stonemaier scoring app by a landslide, and all other unofficial apps. Just pressing the numbers to add together your bird point values is so nice.
The design and feel of the app is also perfectly aesthetically aligned with the game, and fits right on the table beside your player mat. You’d think it’s official. The app is also still updating (Asia expansion functionality on its way), so you can expect a purchase to last.
Only feature I’d love to see would be an option to save the records of your games within the app. You can very conveniently take a screenshot of the final scoreboard, but my screenshots folder is getting a bit big 😅
Plus it might be nice to have that tied in with some player stats function (i.e. highest score ever, most cards ever tucked, most food ever cached, etc.). That’s all just bonus features though—the app does what it’s supposed to, and does is perfectly.
All in all, if you’re not opposed to introducing a phone to the table during Wingspan time, get this app!! (And get Wingsong too while you’re at it)
