Must have for Art teachers

I’m an art teacher. This app complements my visual composition lessons. Every visual artist should be familiar with composition, and this app makes it simple and accessible.

Perfect cropping every time

I got this app to improve my composition and cropping for my photography to be used on my paintings. My photography is way better now, more intentional, and it is perfect for painting 📷🎨🖼️

Could be better

Not pleased with paying $5 just for the bottom of the image to be obscured by a white brick that reads “dynamic symmetry”. It’s also weird I can’t overlay multiple grids. Dynamic symmetry has lines that go through the X’s. In order to replicate that I have to save the dynamic symmetry grid, trim the “wise photos” tag on the bottom, re-upload, then apply the cubed grid. I feel that if you’re going to charge people, it should be a little smoother to use those features and we shouldn’t be subject to the bottom of the photos being covered.
Edit: I don’t appreciate being gaslit. Maybe NOW the logo doesn’t impede the photo but when I wrote this review a year ago, it very much did. Changed from a 3 star to a to a 1 star for that. Don’t come to me a year later trying to make it seem like I’m lying.

👋 Hi, thank you for your feedback! Many of our users are not familiar with all 15 artistic composition names, so we display the name at the bottom of the photo. The name does not cover the photo; instead, we place the name outside the image. We'll look into your suggestion to include multiple artistic compositions on one image. Thank you again! 🤓📷📱

Nice templates, lacks editing features.

The composition template overlays are nice, but other than 'zoom in/out' and 'drag center', there are no editing features in this app. 'Tilt' and 'custom crop' are not available. If you want to truly align photo elements to the template, you have to leave the app, go to another editing app, make blind changes, and then return to this app to check if you hit your target. This is tedious and not what I was looking for when I thought that within the app I could "align" my photo to the templates.

With the Wise Photos app you can view your photos, find the perfect artistic composition, and then zoom in/out, and pan around to match the artistic composition with your photo's main subject and supporting elements. You can rotate the image 90 degrees and the crop is at 4:3, 3:2, or 16:9 ratios. Super useful for photo cropping

It helped me to significantly improve the quality of photos I post on social media. It allows to select most dramatic and impactful part of the photo to really make it stand out and remove the rest.

First step on any post processing

Composition is my first step when post-processing photos... this is the only app that guides me with this task. I really think that this in the first step. Then i use other apps.

Improving my photo composition

I've been wanting my photos to have more impact, so I decided to learn more about composition. After taking photos, I review them with the handy guidelines in the app and adjust them until they look amazing. Best thing, the app makes 2 copies of the "after" photo, 1 with the rule information and 1 without it. I totally recommend Wise Photos!

Take out the nonsense of this app.

It’s the app exactly I’m looking for. When I finally tried this app and saved the photo, I got another copy in my album with the ad watermark and guidelines. That is nonsense!

Hi Joueboy, We're happy that the Wise Photos app is exactly what you're looking for. The Wise Photos app saves 2 photos, one photo without the guidelines and watermark, and then saves a second photo with the guidelines. It might be easy to miss that 2 photos were saved. By saving 2 photos, the one without the guidelines and watermark, you can use the photos without the guidelines to print, enlarge, frame, or share. The second photo with the guidelines is for educational purposes, as many of our users teach photography to students. I hope this makes sense.
