Just terrible experience with app. It freezes up constantly. I gave up and deleted.
WKBN wack news!
For a news company that’s supposed to cover “the valley”, the only thing they seem to be concerned about covering is Youngstown news. Oh another dumpy house in Ytown burned down, another person murdered, a store has opened/closed in Ytown. Not to forget about all the stupid ads. I have to ask myself “is it worth watching a 30 second ad to see some news that I probably don’t even care about?” And the answer is Nope! I’ll go read the Tribune.

Bad app
Wat is wrong with your app you download it and you can’t open you get a screen that you cannot get rid of it. I uninstalled numerous times too no avail. It worked fine before now so fix it
app issue
I just updated the app and now it won’t go beyond the Get weather ready page. The page the app opens to. How do i advance past the “Be weather ready” page. I’ve deleted the app and started over numerous times.

You broke the App
When the app opens, the first screen lets me choose news and/or sports. The next screen asks my location for weather. I don’t see any way to go beyond that.
Very nice app upgrade but one thing is missing
Love how it’s a lot smoother and I can watch the videos while I’m scrolling however I miss the widget that showed me news on my Home Screen. Please bring that back!
New IOS update killed it
Overall good app, but Whois the font so small on some of the stories? Make the font adjustable or at lest bigger.
Clunky
This app continues to disappoint. Freezes, is clunky when moving from one heading to the next. Currently it won’t let me view at all, saying there is an update needed. When attempting to update, nothing happens besides watching the circle spin. Come on guys. You’re a media company. Get it together.
Doesn’t work
App won’t load . Deleted and redownloaded,same result. Needs fixed.
From 5 to 3 stars because of the video ads
Having a video ad play with every single article I try to read is beyond annoying. I liked the app because I could pick and choose what to read when I could get to it—usually in bed—but now the videos playing either wake my husband or annoy the people around me throughout the rest of the day. My phone is always on silent mode, but that makes no difference, and this happens with each story I read. I understand needing ads, but one longer one upon opening the app would be less irritating than something playing with everything you open.

It’s no longer video ads but being there redirected to safari to an ad site when reading from the app with almost every article I read. Come on. Even commercial breaks on TV don’t come after each story.

News Alerts
No sense to send news alerts cause when you click on the alert it doesn’t take you to the article it just takes you to the site. You have to search the site for the article and HOPE it’s on there. Every time you do an update to this app you just make it worse instead of better
Ads
In the latest update lengthy video ads pop up, fill the whole screen and aren’t able to be closed while trying to read stories. Tried to read 2 stories this morning and that happened 5 times, I finally just gave up. I understand the need for advertising to create revenue, but if continues to be this aggressive I’ll just switch to another app for my news.

New format is terrible
Too many ads interwoven into the news articles. I find as I try and scroll to the rest of the article it is pushing me to an insurance ad on my browser. Very frustrating.
New app stinks

New version. Terrible ads.
The new version of the app is very nice. However the ads are too sensitive to touch and I accidentally open them all of the time just trying to scroll through. It’s a very unpleasant user experience. I understand why you’re doing it, it just stinks.
App not working on iPad Pro 10.5
Although it is one of the first apps I use in the morning, all of the sudden it has been freezing on startup. I would restart my iPad and all is good. Today after restarting twice, it still hasn’t started.
Recent Update is a Downgrade
The layout is not user friendly. This used to be the best local news app in Youngstown. Now I’m switching to WFMJ.
