Hit & miss severe weather alerts
I have double triple checked that I have the severe weather notifications on but I am in my home, hearing the sirens, watching channel12 on tv report about the tornado warning for my county and the app on my phone has not alerted me. This app is not reliable for staying safe in severe weather.
I have an old phone connected to my WiFi and the different weather app on that phone alerted me to the tornado warnings. Two so far today. Earlier I was out (it’s in “follow me” mode) and the sirens went off and I got notified from a police dept text that there was a tornado warning for the county I was in. My WKRC weather app never showed any notification about it.

New map on app
Your new interactive map on the updated app is awful! It moves way too fast, and is hard to track storms. I also don’t like how you can’t have storm alerts on the map while tracking a storm. Go back to the old map.

Recent Update
I love this app and have used it for years. Every update they do somehow makes the app a little bit worse each time. This update however is the WORST one they have ever done EASILY! Having to make a “custom” map to display weather alerts and the radar itself is stupid enough already but making the radar go on top of the weather alerts makes this app very frustrating to use. If you look at the map for something like a tornado warning, the radar goes on top of the warning polygon and you have to use the time bar to move the radar off of the warning to see it. Why make this change? The app was good before, and before the initial redesign it was better! Please fix this app, I WILL change my review when you do!

The map in app shows only 12 hours when it’s set to show 24 hours
I set map in your app to show 24 hours future, but map only shows 12 hours and then stops. The time line is moving, but map is not. On the day like today, when big storms are coming it would be nice to see 24 hours. Either fix it, or stop having 24 hours setting available.

I watch channel 12 from 5am- 10 anf then 12 -12:30 p and back at 4p. I depend on all my news from the people I trust. Love your group
WKRC weather app maps
Map stops moving after getting to the middle of the time bar on the bottom. The time on the bar keeps moving, but map is frozen. Please fix.
What‘s with the caption?
So I try to watch John Gumm’s weather report and what’s this covering part of the screen? (this is on my iphone by the way so not much screen) Closed caption for the hearing impaired. Guess I’d be glad if I were hearing impaired...BUT I AM NOT! I combed through the app to see if I could shut it off. NOPE! Nowhere to be found. So I close it out. Then thought maybe I should check again to see if it was a fluke. NOPE! This time it’s even worse. Looks like someone who has no idea where the proper keys are on the keyboard. Very annoying! Please! Please! Please! Give us an option to select out of closed caption. Let me decide if I want it or not. This was not there this morning when I watched the morning report. 2 stars because it needs to go. November 4, 2020 So I need to update this review. Thank you for removing the closed caption. But would someone please update the weather video in a timely manner. I wanted to watch the 5:30p weather update but what they had up was the noon report. It’s 11:00p so I’d like to see the 10:00 report. This is getting worse on this app. Plus Tera’s morning report is so short that if you blink you miss it completely. April 26,2021 Ok, so I am back. This weather app just seems to get worse and worse. Now Tera’s morning report is 30 seconds or less. At least the previous ones were close to 90 seconds. And all she does is give the temps and if it’s supposed to rain or not. And then the later weather reports have the meteorologist in tiny little boxes with what appears to be a spotlight on their faces that washes them out. They all sound like they are in tin cans. Come on! Get it together and just go back to showing a regular weather report. Whoever is responsible should be fired! Just don’t bring back the closed caption for everyone! STOP MESSING WITH THIS APP! It was great before! October 21, 2021 Stay tuned!! MAY 2022 The app is much better. Not sure what was done but it’s better. The one irritating issue is the commercials. You can’t rotate the screen until they are finished. Not a huge issue, just a little irritating. SEPTEMBER 4,2023…this app crashes A LOT! I was watching what appeared to the dinner time weather update with Karaline when suddenly it crashes. What is going? I checked to make sure it didn’t need an update…it does not The previous issues, except not being able to rotate the screen until the commercial is done, seem to have been addressed. Thank you. Thursday, 26 Oct 2023…CRASH! CRASH!! CRASH!! OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!! ALMOST EVERY TIME I USE THIS APP IT CRASHES. OH WAIT…EVERY TIME I USE THIS APP IT CRASHES!!! DOES ANYONE EVER READ THESE REVIEWS? FEBRUARY 2, 2024…WOW! Apparently someone just doesn’t know how to consistently put up an actual video. Two nights on a row that there is nothing but a blank screen. No weather, just a blank screen. AND that horribly, inappropriately long ai commercial. LOSE IT!

Need app help
And when I hit the help button it takes me nowhere.
After the update 2 months ago, my tab for see point is gone. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled twice and it won’t fix.
My husband and friend both have this app and they have the few point.
It’s the sole reason I use this app

My Everyday Weather
It can be good to either have several weather apps or have one that is different than other people in your household or workplace, so you can compare weather results, and average them out.
I have other weather apps but this one is my everyday one that I use the most. So many weather apps are riddled with ads & popups, & this one is not. No one is constantly trying to get you to “upgrade” either. I have used this app for over a year, maybe 2 now, every day.

After a horrible tornado that was right up my alley I was shocked that I didn’t hear about it earlier. So I downloaded this app and wherever I am in state or out of state it tells me the distance of a storm and the prediction of the storm and how strong. Love it. Just download it!

Where’s the dew point
This used to be my go to weather app when my nerdy weather neighbor told me this app tracks the dew point. It’s what I want to know. WHY DID THEY DELETE THIS FEATURE. I downloaded the Apple app now but it’s not as good as this one used to be. Please bring back the dew point

What happened to the dew point? Isn’t that an important part of the weather stats?

Please put the dew point back on the Home Screen. I don’t understand why it was removed. I think it’s an important piece of information, especially in the summer
