Hanging after update
after the latest update, WLS Mobile app on iPhone 16 is hanging at startup !

Is anyone going to help make this better or is it going to be 1 star forever?
While this is an upgrade to be able to see the book cover and see better search bar, routinely logs me out of my account and now won’t even open saying that server is down. Hard to navigate our library system without access to the system

Extremely slow
The app is extremely laggy. Opening it could take a long time before it is ready for use. I am not sure what technology they use behind the scenes; whatever it is, they need to change it or use a proper third party software developer.
Doesn’t login with my correct information
The mobile app does not allow me to login when I put in my correct card number and password. We need to get something that actually works in this area. Please someone!
Barely passable
Very slow, does not show call numbers, or availability of items (checked out/ available). Search filters don’t work. Much worse than the previous app.

Barely functional for searches
Why do they keep dropping worse versions of this app with each iteration? Seriously, the best was 2 apps ago during the pandemic. With the latest version released 1/2025 you can’t filter your search at all. Many titles are available as book, ebook, dvd, Blu-ray, or soundtrack. Not to mention multiple different items with the same title. Hence, the point of a filter. It’s completely useless and generates thousands of hits that are irrelevant to the keyword provided even when you select filter by title, dvd, or anything else. Might as well search using a desktop. The only slight improvement from previous versions, which adds no value to me is now the app indicates what titles I have borrowed or on hold via Libby. Not a good trade off in my view. The app was so good before, why was it revised and ruined?

Old app better
This new app just isn’t functional. Slow to open, constantly throws errors, does not retain account information requiring multiple account setups. I can go on, but I think you get the picture. Time to fix or roll back to the old app.

Terrible replacement!
The old WLS app was simple, but it worked. This one is very slow and constantly logs me out. (If you haven’t memorized your account number, you’d better.) It’s so much easier to use a browser
The website is better
Takes forever to load. Doesn’t keep you logged in or even remember your login information. Slow to search. Buggy and crashes. Do yourself a favor and use the website on a browser.
Terrible
The old app was great! No problems. This app is total garbage. Never works right so not happy. There is an old saying if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
Worse than the retired app
Takes over 30 seconds for the app to startup and login. The UI is not intuitive. It deserves to get zero stars for the review if zero stars were an option. The usability is worse than the app that was retired. This is a gigantic step backwards in functionality and usability
Works great for me
Logged right in and placed a hold, and haven’t experienced any freezes or slowdowns as mentioned in some other reviews.
Horrible app
It really isn’t possible for this app to be worse! It constantly logs you out. It can’t find books that are most definitely in the catalog. The latest was it claiming that there isn’t one Stephen King book in the entire county library system. For the amount of taxes Westchester county pays, they should be embarrassed to have released this.

Very frustrating
This app is bad. It looks nice the design but the functionally is horrible. Very slow and the most annoying thing is to login every single time including choosing the library. At least the previous app was not doing that.
No for iPad
While it works in the iPhone, after a slow opening sequence that is only interesting the first time, it doesn’t work on an iPad - appears incompatible
Server error- can’t access app
I downloaded the app and tried to use it. Unfortunately, nothing works. I’ve been getting a server error since yesterday. Update on 5/13/25. Have gotten a “server error” for the last 2 days. I actually had to call my library to look at my account. So disappointing 🙁🙁🙁
Frustrating application
While it is more feature rich than the previous application available prior to 2025, it continues to have many bugs. For example-freezes, drops library card, needs to be deleted and reloaded to clear errors. Previous application while limited worked flawlessly. Pains me to log on and try to achieve task such as renew items.

Slow
Ridiculously slow to load, and somehow even needs to reboot itself when I haven’t shut the app down. Shows the same stupid “fun facts” every single time.
