Good game to pass time, but occasionally, when you enter a pro game (with money), an ad pops up that you CAN’T “X” out, so you have to restart the app again. Once you go back into the game, the match is aborted.

Bait and switch “Bonus” Offer
Downloaded and played word blitz ions ago. I hadn’t played in a while and when I went to play, there was a spend $12 - get $8 bonus offer. I decided to bite and spent the $12 but did not get the $8 bonus. Then, it prompted me to “merged my account. It had logged me in under some random name (which was not mine and never was) - It never actually gave the bonus and Skillz will not take any responsibility for the fact that it was randomly giving me a user name I wasn’t aware of until AFTER paying the $12 and suggesting I merge my account (this has never happened before and they don’t seem to be listening to the fact this was not a new downloaded game for me as they suggest). Very disconcerting that they will not honor this bonus (even after sending them numerous emails), it is the same response. We don’t allow transfer of bonus… yes I get that - but I didn’t even know I was logged in as something else until the transaction took place and it prompted me to merge (and of course one would have to anyway because per Skillz rules, you aren’t allowed more than one account) - I won’t be spending any more of my money with this platform if they can’t budge with an $8 bonus (a bonus they are willing to give someone new vs. someone who has spent money for years). Doesn’t make any sense that I have to go back and forth wasting time to get absolutely nowhere!

I love this game. It helps you spell without thought. I know way more words than you realize until you play. I wish they would bring the friend challenge back. I have gotten so many others playing for quarter more than any of the other games. Fast fun and intriguing
Could be great BUT
I’d LOVE to know how these “guaranteed” no bots and players of your skill level are determined. If I’m playing for the first time ever— my first day, second day of playing— and I do well for my first 3 or 4 games, how and why is it that I’m repeatedly being matched up against the Number 1 player in the league. YES, thank you, it’s a compliment, but just because I did well the first few times doesn’t change the fact that I’m a new player and I’m still learning the game & trying to find strategies to do better. How do I find out how long the top ranked player has been playing? How do you determine that is MY skill level when they score almost twice as much as me. I’ll accept a refund, thanks.

Players w little experience pop up out of nowhere w unbelievably high scores. When U tell Support, U get a form response, which is quite likely the end of the matter. Game’s pretty good- if they’d kick out the cheaters more than once in a blue moon
Don’t use real money
You will never win a round except in the free mode. The bonus amount they give you is even a joke . Almost any game valued over $0.60 will never find a match for you and your bonus will no longer be in effect unless you deposit more money . I had the same experience with a couple other apps by the same company so if you wanna throw your money away maybe send it to a good cause.

My third time reporting on the glitches!! Now there’s another glitch: it won’t connect to the internet so I either play offline without my scores being kept or connected to another or I don’t play. It’s time to find another game to play.

Awesome Game for Word Nerds
It’s the most perfect simple word game that is highly addictive, and has kept me excited for over 1500+ rounds. The only minor complaint I have is that there’s so few players playing this particular Skillz game that when they attempt to match you based on skill level it can be a little mismatched. In the beginning I was matched with more experienced people who would easily double my score so I would always lose. I do believe they have fixed that issue though. Completely legit, support answers any messages usually no more than 15 minutes after you contact them, no bots and easy to withdraw winnings so I Highly recommend!
