Great app and great customer support!

App works great to be able to offer up shifts that need coverage and to claim open shifts that are available. Matt provides great customer support very quickly!

Great Tool

Get this app for your school!

As a small private school we do not have access to large substitute teacher systems. Enter WorkBlast! We implemented the app as part of our substitute teacher process. It has created an easy way for teachers and admins to get substitutes to cover our classes. It’s so easy to use and has great features. When a teacher claims a shift they have the ability to enter a calendar reminder, we no longer have teachers missing classes that they forgot they agreed to cover. It’s great for us managers to be able to track the shifts as well. Everyone has access to the information of who is supposed to where. WorkBlast has helped us create a well organized and transparent process, exactly what every organization needs! I get feedback daily from our teachers and school administrators on how much they like using WorkBlast.

Very good general shift trading- gym!

I was reading the other reviews and was very impressed that Matt was able to create an app that is very simple and user friendly and accessible across multiple fields of work!

I am the manager of a gym and struggle to keep up with all of the sub requests. Other apps that we have tried are too complicated or don’t alert the manager (me) upon approval of the switches. I do love that i can organize my employees by “pools” or for what we do, genres of exercise so only capable employees are being “bugged” with the request via app notification or text (depending on everyone’s app preferences). I do like that with the latest update, i have the ability to see which employees have seen the request and which ones I need to follow up with.

Approving shift switches and emailing both employees is also seamless within the app. This app is given me confidence that no sub requests are falling through the cracks and keeps all of my employees accountable to get their classes covered.

I highly recommend for many avenues of business!

Wonderful App!!

This app is truly a blessing I never say going. As a Healthcare manager with a staff of 16 who work long 10 or 12 hours shifts, call outs are expected or scheduling an extra shift is sometime needed. This App allows me to do it at my fingers tips. I no longer have to prepare a group text to everyone or run get my work bag a review the staff assignments in order to know who not to call. This is the best one stop place to request and notify of open shifts.

Used to be better - upgrade? Downgrade....

I used to receive notifications via text that a specific shift was available (time, date etc.) now I get a text saying “there is a shift available, check the app for details.” This causes additional time and delay and is clumsy to say the least. I wish it could go back to the way it was before. Developers - please address this!

Thank you for the feedback. By popular demand, we added a really great new feature that allows the person offering the shift to track how many people have viewed their offer. This is really helpful when determining whether or not to send a reminder or adjust the offer. The only way we can track how many people have view the offer is if someone views it in the app, because we cannot (and should not be able to) track whether or not you have looked at a text message. We are, however, working on something even better, which is a link. Soon, you will be able to click a link in your text message, and it will open the app directly to the details of that shift. For now, you can enable push notifications, which are super convenient and do this linking already. We hope you will consider amending your 3-start rating. WorkBlast is pretty good, is always getting better, and is offered to you - for free - by a couple of unpaid volunteers.

Great App

I have worked in schools for a long time and this app is something that I have always been looking for. It makes it so easy to track who needs coverage and who is covering. Highly recommend this app!!

Highly Recommend!

We use this app at the yoga studio I work at and it’s great! So intuitive, easy to navigate and efficient for shift trading communications. The one time I called the Support phone number, the creator himself answered and was a pleasure to speak with.

Effective and awesome

I love it! I work for a company that has a TON of employees, so there are always shifts up for grabs. It will notify you of available shifts and you text a code to take it. It leaves that paper trail of who picked up what, so everyone remains responsible for their shifts! This eliminates all of the misunderstanding with verbal shift trading and that "who picked up what?" It's all right there and so simple and convenient to use.

Ace for trading and staying organized

This app has saved my life! I manage about 70 people and they all have shifts of 1.5hrs long. We were trading via email but it was total chaos! This helps me compartmentalize all scheduling. All my employees love it as well.
