Heavy XStain Bias
This is sorta useful, but questionable in its historical accuracy due to its extreme religious slant. Basically it lays out all world events as they relate to events in the bible. If you wanted to know what happened during Noah’s time, for example, that’s interesting; but, that ignores/belittles other religions, let alone ignores the fact that events like Noah’s ark aren’t historically proven. Also, when you get to modern American times, such absurd things as the ridiculous ‘Ark Encounter’ are noted. From Iraq & Afghanistan to the rise of nationalist extremism & home grown terrorists, there were plenty of real historical events in the US in that time, the ark encounter amusement park opening wasn’t one of them. There’s also a huge section on Charlie Kirk, which grossly bends the truth and over exaggerates his role in American society beyond pushing a divisive agenda.

Thank you for taking the time to write this, and I'm glad you like the concept. World Timeline is made by a Christian homeschool family, and one of its goals is to show world history and biblical history side by side so you can see how they line up. That's a deliberate part of the design. It covers far more than Bible history, though. The timeline includes ancient empires, the Buddha, Confucius, the rise of Islam, both World Wars, 9/11, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, along with thousands of other events. You don't need to share our faith to explore it and learn from it. Some entries, like the Ark Encounter, are there because of their impact on American Christian life. Tap any event to see why it was included. We keep reviewing entries for accuracy, and we welcome corrections through the Feedback button in the app.

Thank you for taking the time to flag this — honestly, feedback like yours is exactly how the app gets better, and I appreciate it. You were right. An earlier version was showing modern borders on some historical years, and that specific problem — 1914 included — has now been fixed in the latest update, so the map reflects the actual period. World history is vast, and on an independent, one-person project a few things are going to slip through even with careful checking. My commitment is simple: keep hunting down errors and correcting them as fast as I can. That is also why the app is free right now — it did not feel right to charge full price until the majority of these issues are ironed out.
