Glitchy

After walking a further 4 miles from my last stop street view is still the same place. And sometimes doesn’t show a thing.

Lost my data

Not gonna start over. Just not worth it to me. Used to enjoy looking up where i as, seeing what was around.nglad i finished the route 66 route. Sad i was in the middle of the worlds longest walk.

Move thousands of steps and stay in the same place

This version is poor compared with the old one. You can repeatedly move thousands of steps along a walk and yet the street view picture remains the same. You really don’t get to see very much of the trail at all. A big disappointment!

No way to contact the developer

I love the app but the daily sync has stopped working so I can’t add steps to the bank or progress on any walks. The daily total is correct so the sync with Apple Health is fine. It was fine until yesterday afternoon.

Now it’s paid…

Now you can only have one walk without paying 😒 I am so disappointed!!!!

Love this app

Been using world walking for years. The transition to the new version was seamless.
Loving the new look. 😁

New web site

I like the new site!

Great upgrade

I used the old free app and am pleased to upgrade to Plus on the new version for the extra features and world stats 🌍🏃‍♂️

New app is great

Love the new app! So much better than the old one. Really happy it’s been updated.

Motivates me to walk more

I love being able to use street view to see where my walk takes me, fun to use as a group participant. It’s encouraged me to walk more and as an OAP I can feel the benefit. I find the app easy to use and received good support when I needed it.

Unable to migrate

3 years doing a walk to Everest Base Camp nearly 10 million steps and when I set up the new account - I wasn’t offered the option to migrate my progress. Nowhere to seek advice and help.

Not good at all

Response from developer

Hi there. Thanks for your feedback. We've done our best to allow content from the charity-run free app to be migrated over. Unfortunately we cannot migrate active walks. Please get in touch with our support team via the website/app for more assistance and guidance about this.

Sadly pants

Great it’s been kept going and it is free but not being able to migrate your old steps is pants. I have lost 35 million steps and was 44% around the world. At least let us manually add our old steps - we’d only be cheating ourselves if we put an inflated figure in. If you’re part way through a walk just don’t bother.

App upgrade

I am really happy that they have found a way to keep the app free and the upgraded app is a big improvement. However - gutted that current progress of walks wasn’t migrated. I’ve been working on the Silk Road for 3 years, and lost all of my progress. Back to the beginning.

Migrating data doesn’t bring over current walk

I’ve used the old World Walking app for years, and I followed all the instructions to migrate my data to the new app. Everything migrated EXCEPT my current walk!!! I’m 5.5 million steps into that walk and the data doesn’t transfer. So frustrating. I’m in the process of manually adding steps - but you’re limited to adding 70,000 steps at a time. With that limit, it takes a really long time to get to my 5.5 million steps so I can continue my walk in progress. I have hopes for the new app, but right now everything feels clunky and not user friendly.
