Love this sooooo much!
I have only had this app a short time but it is so much better than any I’ve had before. The words are mostly new to me and always manage to catch my interests in some way. I highly recommend it to any who have a deep desire to constantly learn something new, or an affinity for words!
Not real words
I just had a word of the day “Starkling” looked at how they used it in a sentence, and it didn’t even make sense (“She starkling at 3am again.”)
Looked the word up on google all for me to be told this word hasn’t been used since 1527…

Response from developer
It is true that there were issues with "Starkling", it was a bad sentence and the etymology is not strong. Users have reported in feedback, and I have corrected the bad sentence. But I want to share that I have been honest in my app description, that this app is not for learning English, it will have non-English, old English or modern coined words. 1-star rating is very damaging for a free indie app like mine, hope you can reconsider.
Does what’s advertised for free
As the title says, this app does exactly what you’d expect an app of the sort to do, for free. What a rare find these days

First review from Canada! Thank you!
Very nice app
Makes each day a little it better. Who knew Gökotta was he act of rising at dawn specifically to go outside and listen to the first birds sing. I didn’t before but I sure am glad I know now.

Thanks! Glad it made your day a little better.
Very practical
This app does exactly what most people are looking for. There’s a word of the week, a widget to view quickly, and no ads or subscriptions. Very nice
Response from developer
Thank you! Help spread the word! pun-intended.
