My favorite radio station
Love it
I’m in rural Louisiana and it’s difficult to get WWNO on the radio. As long as my internet holds on, I can listen to this superb station via the app. Thank you!
Terrible app
Constant buffering issues, event after I updated my iOS system. Now it simply will not play. It’s a pity.
WWNO
App is so convenient in connecting me to my favorite radio station, WWNO. My gateway to NPR!
The last update’s features not as described
I love my hometown stations, wwno + wwoz - so much so that they’re the only radio stations I ever listen to, even though I haven’t lived in state for 20 years. I only have words of support for programming, personalities, performers, and all the other people involved in providing these tethers to my soul’s home. Thank you.
I do just want to point out - not complain - the features such as “rewind” as you’re listening or “DVR like features” is quite misleading as far as my experience on my device (an iPhone 13 mini, if that matters.) Rewinding is very very limited re: how far you can rewind and has no time stamp to reveal where / how far you are rewinding. The functions are like DVR - only in the weaker details of those machines: I can only rewind as far as where in the program I tune in. I can’t rewind to beginning or to the program just prior, for example. It lacks the key features of DVR - i.e. there is no option to record or program “recording” of programming.
Maybe i am just more tech-challenged than i thought, but if that is true, there are many many ppl out there who are having a harder time than i am trying to make use of the app as it is described by the latest release notes.
I won’t give up my station, but i have gone back to other streaming sources for listening *for now*. ♥
