Highly recommended

My favorite radio station

Love it

I’m in rural Louisiana and it’s difficult to get WWNO on the radio. As long as my internet holds on, I can listen to this superb station via the app. Thank you!

Terrible app

Constant buffering issues, event after I updated my iOS system. Now it simply will not play. It’s a pity.

WWNO

App is so convenient in connecting me to my favorite radio station, WWNO. My gateway to NPR!

The last update’s features not as described

I love my hometown stations, wwno + wwoz - so much so that they’re the only radio stations I ever listen to, even though I haven’t lived in state for 20 years. I only have words of support for programming, personalities, performers, and all the other people involved in providing these tethers to my soul’s home. Thank you.

I do just want to point out - not complain - the features such as “rewind” as you’re listening or “DVR like features” is quite misleading as far as my experience on my device (an iPhone 13 mini, if that matters.) Rewinding is very very limited re: how far you can rewind and has no time stamp to reveal where / how far you are rewinding. The functions are like DVR - only in the weaker details of those machines: I can only rewind as far as where in the program I tune in. I can’t rewind to beginning or to the program just prior, for example. It lacks the key features of DVR - i.e. there is no option to record or program “recording” of programming.

Maybe i am just more tech-challenged than i thought, but if that is true, there are many many ppl out there who are having a harder time than i am trying to make use of the app as it is described by the latest release notes.
I won’t give up my station, but i have gone back to other streaming sources for listening *for now*. ♥

Love NPR but inconsistent

I love being able to listen to NPR but the signal drops frequently.

Very Inconsistent Lately

I work from home and listen to the WWNO app all day, during my work day. I have done this for many years. On weekends, while driving, I also stream shows like Weekend Edition, Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, RadioLab and This American Life. I stream in my car because the radio station signal is not always clear in rural St. Tammany and Washington parishes.
Lately, last 3 months or so, the app drops out of the blue or it buffers, for ever.
In frustration, I have turning to the WRKF app to stream Public Radio.
Please address this app issue.
Thank you.

Technical trouble

The programs, local and national, are great. But the worst app I’ve ever used-technically. Freezes up frequently but only in certain locations. Have had to delete and reinstall it often.

Great channel, not so great app.

I would like to see a rewind and/or pause button. I listen all day at work and often have to stop listening (I am at work after all) and then I miss talking points or music I would have liked to hear.
The connection speed is slow, it drops the channel often and then I have to listen to the public radio self promotion before I can get back to the show.

Very dependable app!

Indespensable

Love the jazz and I live in Oregón

Great public radio on app

Love the classical music station

Love the classical music station 104.9

Thank goodness….

… we have public radio in general and, our own WWNO in particular, to keep our news and information balanced, informative, well-researched, beautifully dialogued and factual. So important in these days of ‘baseless opinion reported as fact.’ Whether international, national or local, NPR listeners are informed. (And entertained with classical and jazz.) WWNO chooses programming thoughtfully. Bravo! Proud to be a long time sustaining member of the station.

Really good overall

This is a great app if you don’t have access to a radio.

WWNO

I have been enjoying listening to the news and the jazz channels. There is a bit of repetition on both channels and the music is fairly middle of the road. The play button is half off my screen which is annoying but I can still get it to work.

NPR is a Gift

My favorite station!

Good app with lots of music and news

I liked this app. Lots of information relevant to NO

Wonderful!

Wonderful!

Love the Jazz

Fantastic song selection covering a wide spectrum of the Jazz world, but always tasteful.

One suggestion is to figure out how to post the songs played and the musicians.
