Nilani really helped me understand the material by breaking complex concepts down into simple, easy-to-follow explanations. Instead of just studying all of the information for the PTCE, she focused on the key concepts and high-yield topics that are most important for the exam. Her teaching style made the material much less overwhelming and helped me build confidence in my understanding.

Faith is an amazing and patient tutor who is truly passionate about what she does. She is very knowledgeable about AP World History and can clearly explain topics to my daughter. Faith also created presentations for each of the units, which made it really helpful for studying even after the session ended. The perfect fit
My son is 15 and has been working with Toby once a week for almost a year. When he started he was just restarting his efforts to figure out FLStudio. He tried on his own and couldn’t so he quit. I knew he needed someone who knew the program to help him. I also knew he needed someone who could work with him not just tell him as he figured it out.
It was Toby’s experience in music production and his background in and around music education that caught my eye when looking on Wyzant. (Shoutout to Wyzant. Great platform)
The progress my son has made is remarkable. He has released an EP as well as many tracks on Spotify and Apple Music. Again, he, out of frustration, stopped trying to figure out FL studio a year prior. Now, he is watching his ideas become reality and starting to understand how it feels to be a true creator.
From learning the basics and individual tools in the beginning to creating full songs Toby has challenged him and taught him. And, thanks to Toby’s style, my son has enjoyed that process.
The relationship between Toby and my son has developed past teacher student. It more resembles mentor/collaborator.
For anyone with a teen that has a passion to make music, but needs structure and guidance I’d recommend Toby. His knowledge covers a wide range of musical genres. But, it’s that knowledge of music production coupled with real life experience in the classroom while working with NYU that truly sets him apart.
He is the perfect fit to guide and teach a young person working to turn a dream into reality.

Poor privacy controls. Be aware-the app shares your info with no explicit consent.
The app shared what I believed was a private correspondence between me and a prospective teacher with anyone in its database, without explicit permission. I only later noticed the settings for that function. Beyond that, I was contacted by random people across the US who don’t fit my criteria. I’ve requested removal of all my personal information and deletion of my account.

Very experienced tutor
We retained Mr. Schorr for his experience as an AP Calc teacher since he would be the most familiar with the current AP testing program.
He has been flexible with scheduling and made math a lot less stressful and hopeless for our child. Our child seems to enjoy the course after Mr. Schorr started to help. We plan to continue using his services for the rest of the year. He is patient and thoroughly explains the materials.

App keeps glitching on my iPad
Every time I try to open my messages on the Wyzant app, the app instantly closes out and I have to reopen it. I have tried deleting and re-downloading it. It still doesn’t work

Kelly is a fantastic tutor. She’s thorough, provides detailed notes, access to the lesson along with notes on each problem that your child struggled with. She makes the follow-up and homework easy to navigate by providing all on a Google doc. She’s responsive, has great energy, and is invested in your child’s growth. Highly recommend.

My daughter is thoroughly enjoying her Korean immersion lessons. She is fascinated by Korean culture and language. Her wishes are to become fully fluent in Korean. She had an amazingly engaging experience with her first lesson and asked to take more during the week.
