It keeps crashing after the most recent update.

As of version 1.6.1 cannot open game. It fails in attempt to connect to Feral servers when opened. Cellular & refresh both on. update: Reseting game preferences from Settings solved this issue. Thanks to expedient developer response.
Best turn-based strategy game ever, perfect port
Best turn-based strategy game ever, and a perfect port. Haven’t found anything else quite as deep yet intuitive, other than XCOM 1. Port is perfect, controlling these games via touchscreen actually feels more intuitive than controller or mouse/keyboard.

I have completed XCOM Enemy Unknown & XCOM 2 War of the Chosen on console. The XCOM 2 collection was a great way to revisit the franchise, and that feel good combat, in a new way.

This game is a lot of fun….. when it loads up. So far, I’ve only been able to play it once. Otherwise, I get a failure message from the servers not being up.

I can’t play because I can’t connect to yall servers to play a game I downloaded / paid for ???

[Thank you for responding to my update issue. Installed and working as intended] Works perfectly on my iPad Pro 12.9 M2 but I do feel like I am playing a dated version of what my hardware could handle currently. I have had no crashes, excessive battery usage or high temps, so I’m pretty sure my hardware could handle added shadows, resolution etc. And this game and its players deserve to play the most efficiently ported version of this game that is possible and I truly believe that this port, XCOM 2 and Feral Interactive would benefit from a refresh. That being said even if Feral decided not to, this port of XCOM 2 is excellent and functions very well with touch controls, its a deep game with probably one of the best replayability available on the App Store. There is so much customisation for different playthroughs and with the added collection content I believe I have really got my money worth. I’d like to have Xbox controller support as I would like to play on my iPad, which is pretty large, docked into my Magic Keyboard so i can choose to have a more comfortable playing experience. And if feral did do a refresh with added ingame shadows, vfx, resolution bump, controller support etc then I think this timeless masterpiece, with a little marketing boost, would see a major bump engagement. Easy 5 star review nonetheless. Bravo Feral Interactive.

[RECENT UPDATE - CURRENTLY BROKEN]
[The recent update wont finish downloading, Ive tried reinstalling but it wont finish installing. No longer works
Loved the game but the updates make the game unusable.

Game is solid, worked well on my iPhone 15, until the most recent update,
Now it won’t let me play until it I verify, saying it requires a verification, but every time I try to verify it always says the connection is broken and then won’t let me update and therefore not let me play the game I paid for.
I have tried all the suggested “solutions” provide by the support and it has resolved in nothing. Still having the same issue.
Been almost 4 weeks since the update and the companies customer service has not responded to emails or provided any additional support other then say that this uncommon issue, but if you look at the apps most recent reviews and Reddit posts you’ll see it’s not just me dealing with negative experience :(

Awesome besides no controller support
Incredible game, great port. But huge miss not having support for controllers. Bought this in hopes of playing it on my iPhone with my backbone controller and no luck. Bummed :(
Doesn’t start if you have private relay on
If you have private relay on then this game just hangs at the start up screen. Please fix this. Very frustrating having to turn it off just to get this game to start

New update has bugged the game
Urgent need of repairs to latest update. It’s a 50/50 chance if game will get past initial launch screen and takes forever to do both.. Runs way too hot I can’t tell if I need performance or battery saver mode?

Stays stuck on the Feral loading screen. Game is unplayable

The game is really fun when it works, but with the last update it will not launch. It is stuck in a download, verification loop that repeats endlessly.
Unable to play
After the newest update I am unable to play the game. Unable to verify files after the download installer completes. If this is ongoing I would like my money back
can’t start my game after latest updates
I bought this game a few years ago, it was a great game perfect. With or with the Wi-Fi. Lately after the latest update now I can even start the game., I deleted the game download it again, we have a whole bunch of down load files after the game start. Then it has a problem of verifying. After a couple of times of restarting the game, it restarted with glitch. Today I start the game, you stay at the beginning black screen.. Very disappointed.
