So peak just wishing for more prominent peaks to show up thst just aren't as popular for areas like the Southwest

Doesn’t save

Doesn’t save makes you retype and add photos when it doesn’t save also can’t pick the trail you went so miles aren’t accurate

Response from developer

Thanks for using Yak and for taking the time to leave feedback. You’re right that route selection is still a work in progress, and I’m adding new routes as quickly as I can. I’m also working on improving the climb report flow so it saves more reliably. I know it’s frustrating, but I really appreciate your feedback and your patience while I keep making Yak better. I hope you’ll stick with Yak as it continues to improve.

Great app for mountaineering!

My friend showed me this app to track our summits of 14ers in Colorado and it’s amazing! Has lots of cool features and is a great resource for exploring new hikes and climbs. A must download for any mountain enthusiast!

Thoughts

We’re good I love how you can react to the pictures and post your own adventures, also it’s missing a few peaks like from France and Switzerland I’d really appreciate if we added those thank you!!

Great UI and responsive to feedback

I’m extremely pleased with this app so far! I’ve been using it to track my progress for the Adirondack 46 High peaks, and it has worked great so far. The UI is extremely easy to use, and looks good. I also submitted some feedback on the app and within a week the developers had fixed the bugs. Seems like they care about the app and user feedback. I will definitely continue to use this and have already recommended it to some of my friends.

Great app

App is awesome, and very easy to use

Helpful app for hiking goals

The UI is beautiful! I love how I can clearly see future objectives, which helps in planning what to tackle next. The devs seem responsive to feedback.

Great!

I really enjoy the map feature of this app. Makes it easy to see which mountains you have done and the locations of all of them. When combined with the 14ers.com app, super helpful for all 14er info! (Imo better map than 14ers, AllTrails, etc)

Really cool hiking app

Loved looking through and using this app, I mostly hike, so it was cool to be able to look through some of 14ers in my area, which showed the path, weather and when you complete the hikes you can leave commentary which is really fun to look back on!

Yak review from a beginner

Makes it fun to track your summits as a beginner. Can’t wait to share with some of my friends. The interface is very clean and I’m excited to level up from a Pika to a Marmot by completing the challenges!!! Let’s gooo

Great App! Responsive Dev!

I’ve just started using this app and I’m really enjoying it! I’ve gone back into my records and recorded previous mountains that I’ve climbed as best I could. There are some that I’ve climbed many times, so it’s hard to remember when was the first time.

I also reported a recent name change of one of them to the developer of the app, and they were quick to get it fixed.

SCAM APP

One of the most pointless and useless apps I’ve ever seen, all they want is your info with lots of ads

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for trying Yak and for taking the time to leave feedback. Just to clarify, Yak is completely free to use, contains no ads, and we do not sell user data. We’re a very small independent team building Yak for people pursuing long-term goals like Colorado 14ers and state highpoints. If there was a specific issue or concern you encountered, we’d genuinely appreciate hearing more so we can continue improving the app.

Great Tool for 14ers

Simple, reliable, and genuinely useful for tracking 14ers. I like that its able to leep all my climbs organized in one place and makes it easy to see progress over time. The app feels built by people who actually hike, not just developers guessing what climbers want. Clean design, easy to use, and motivating without overcomplicating things.

Just what I needed!

I’ve been hiking for years, and after moving to Colorado, my husband and I set a goal to summit all the 14ers. Planning hikes usually involves jumping between multiple apps and websites to get beta like routes, mileage, elevation gain, conditions, and weather.

Yak makes that process so much easier by putting everything in one place! It saves me time and makes planning feel smoother.

The design is clean, fun, and different from other hiking and outdoor apps. I especially love tracking my progress. Seeing all the peaks together and the gold coins for the ones I’ve climbed makes it easy to see how far I’ve come and keeps me going.

Great app if you’re working toward big climbs!

A lot of information packed into this app! Very comprehensive overview of each mountain. I highly recommend it, especially if you’re going to climb a 14er! Awesome!

All you need to plan your next big climb!!
