Videos DON’T PLAY
I don’t know how anybody can play any video on this app. Maybe it is just a bug that affects only a handful of people. I actually used to be able to play feeds in the past bust now those stopped working as well. Initially I thought it was just a temporary bug that will be addressed but it has been over six months now and every time I come back here it is still the same thing .
So I beg and make a plea to the awesome developers of this app to please look into this.

Alhamdulillah
I had come across this app a year so ago, downloaded it and unfortunately did not engage much - perhaps it was the UI. Recently, had a pivot in my life and Allah SWT guided me to it and I am forever grateful. The content, the lesson, curation top tier - it’s really help me to take a break from socials and focus on my deen. May Allah SWT bless everyone involved in this app and wider Yaqeen Institute

Mashallah ! Very well organized and contains a lot of resources for Muslims or non Muslims to learn more about the deen . Very convenient too.
Great info, bad platform
The information and accessibility and amount of knowledge and resources and benefits is amazing. The negative part is that I can’t play any videos and all of the images on research blogs are stretched out horizontally so you can’t see half the image. Im looking through the reviews and see that not many others are having this problem but I deleted and reinstalled the app and refreshed it multiple times and still the same issue. The website works much better for me and all of the actual media on the app is amazing it’s just that the platform is bad.

A Modern app to better Muslims
Very modern, almost like a tiktok or formal app to learn, I appreciate the user friendliness. The feed can be a little more fluid from a technical aspect. I love the quizzes that pop up. Very informative, modern, simple to research topics. I would suggest have “suggestions” pop up when you’re searching something, sometimes writing an Arabic word in English is weird to spell. May Allah reward all of you!

Minor asks: can we get formatting options for the text? Change the size, spacing, font etc. And can you please allow selection of text in the papers? I can do it in the web version, but not the app, when trying to look something up or copy for notes etc.

Great…but needs some work
This app has caused some frustration for me as it is quite difficult to navigate. You are unable to click on a series and scroll through all of the videos, you have to find it on youtube and then look it up on the app. I truly wish you could view all of the series and click on them and see all of the content in chronological order. Before there was a way then when you clicked on a video it would show you other videos from the series under it but that has disappeared. Inshallah they can develop the app to be more user friendly and organized.

The Yaqeen Institute app has been a part of my life for over 5 years now, and it truly feels like a family. Every week, I eagerly wait for Friday Khutbah, feel deeply inspired by The First, and find immense spiritual nourishment in Qur’an 30 for 30. A beautifully constructed app MashAllah
Very comprehensive, accessible, user friendly. The categorizations are extremely helpful and allows you to get the most out of the amazing content Yaqeen provides.
Helps with social cleanse
Jazakallah khair for having an app option. I deleted YouTube trying to take a break from the algorithms there and am so thankful that I still have another way to easily access Yaqeen content.

More User Friendly Text?
The content in the App is wonderful; I am still exploring everything on the site. However, I am having a hard time with the font in the articles—it is quite small even though I have selected for a bigger font in my iPhone in general, and the light gray text makes it even more of a challenge to read. Inshaallah you will make it easier for us older Muslims to access your content. Jazak Allah!

Bugs need to be fixed!
I’ve had this app for a while, Mash’Allah the content is amazing. However there are so many glitches, really thought the creators would’ve updated it by now. 3.5 stars
