About

Your phone checks on everything. Except your heart. Yaqzah is a presence check. Once or twice a day, unannounced, a voice note arrives from Ousama Alshurafa asking one question: where is your heart right now? You never see it coming. That is the entire point. A reminder you can predict gets absorbed into the day and stops being noticed. One you cannot predict catches you exactly where you actually were. NOT A TREND. AN INHERITANCE. The world discovered "mindfulness" a decade ago. Islam has taught this for fourteen centuries. Muraqabah means to live watchful of the One who is watching you. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, named the summit of the religion in a single sentence: to worship Allah as though you see Him, and though you see Him not, He surely sees you. Every presence check is a rehearsal of that one line. HOW A CHECK WORKS 1. It finds you, unannounced. 2. Three breaths, before a single word. 3. A voice note from Ousama, his words appearing in time with his voice. 4. Come back: astaghfirullah three times, then His name three times, held for as long as your breath carries it. 5. The honest question: was your heart present, drifting, or heedless? No judgment on the answer. The honesty itself is the practice. BETWEEN TWO STATES Ghaflah is heedlessness. Hours pass, tasks close, the day gets done, and He never once crossed your mind. It is not sin. It is sleepwalking, and it is where most of a life quietly disappears. Yaqzah is wakefulness. The moment the sleeper realises he was asleep. Ibn al-Qayyim placed it first on the entire path to Allah, before repentance, before everything. Nothing begins until you wake. YOU ARE IN CONTROL • 1 to 2 checks a day, your choice • Set the hours checks are allowed, so nothing arrives at 3am • Inside that window, the timing is unpredictable. That is the mechanism. • Turn it off any time PRIVATE BY DESIGN Yaqzah has no account, no server, and no analytics. The presence checks work entirely offline, even in airplane mode. Your answers, your streak and your log never leave your phone. Nobody can see them, including Ousama. FREE TO USE The presence checks are free. No subscription. No ads. GO DEEPER (OPTIONAL) One optional, one-time purchase unlocks two further practices: • The Muraqabah Challenge — a guarded watch over the tongue and heart, across three rising stations: 3 clean days, then 10, then 40. • Daily Deeds — a simple tracker for the daily acts that keep the heart awake. Both together. One price, yours to keep. No subscription, ever. Created by Ousama Alshurafa.
