Makes walks more interesting
I downloaded YardMate because I keep seeing the plants around my neighborhood that I couldn’t name. Now I find myself stopping to scan flower, tree, and even random weeds whenever I’m out for a walk.
What I like most is that it doesn’t just tell you the name and stop there. The short story and background about each plants make learning much more personal. I’v start to noticing plants I use to walk right past, every walk feels like I am discovering something new. It’s become one of this app I open because I am curious , not because I have to

Actually useful for a beginner
I bought a few plants after moving into a new apartment and quickly realized I had no idea what I was doing. I mainly downloaded this to identify them, but I’ve ended up using the care reminders more than anything else.
The advice is straightforward and usually answers exactly what I’m wondering, like whether a yellow leaf means too much water or not enough. I still forget to check the app sometimes, but my plants definitely look better than they did before.
