Confusing - is this used to track my yard or yours?

I downloaded this app, thinking it was a way to track my yarn stash, just like it says in the title. So I added a couple skeins manually one night and went back to edit the Information the next day and it said I needed their permission to make changes. This makes no sense. If I’m tracking my own yarn why do I need their permission? Instead, it seems like it’s a way to track yarn you want to sell- which was not what I was looking for. I’m looking for an app that I can use to track my own stash - without needing permission every time I want to update details common to the yarn…

Thanks for your feedback! I’d like to clear up the confusion. Your stash/inventory is always private to you. Only you can see and manage the quantity of skeins you have in your inventory. The public yarn database is separate — this is where yarn details (brand, color, weight, etc.) are stored so everyone doesn’t have to re-type the same yarn information over and over. To keep that shared database accurate, edits to existing yarn records go through a quick review. That way, mistakes don’t affect other users who already have the same yarn in their stash. You’re tracking your own yarn, privately, while also benefiting from (and contributing to) a shared library of yarn records.
