This app is a mystery

I just downloaded this app. When I click on a link, it gives me one and three-quarter sentences. When I tap on the app, it goes right back to the beginning again and doesn’t not give any place to finish the information. For instance, I tapped on the tab for the Albright visitor center. And I tapped on the sentence about the fact that the center is open year…. I am mystified to find the rest of that information.

Useless because of no service in the park.

Cool idea, but absolutely useless because of lack of cellular service in the park. Verizon has some limited service in the park, but AT&T is nearly non existent.

Thanks for the feedback. We always wanted a little bit more info about the park, and ideas of what animals were roaming around and that’s where this app idea came about. The app is designed for people to plan their route for the day and if unfamiliar with the park they can look at the map and see where animals hangout regularly and decided where their stops will be. We know the signal constraints don’t allow for real time animal viewing as cell signal is limited to certain areas within the park, the WiFi is throughout visitor centers and hotels in the park and that’s how we update sightings when we are in Yellowstone. Also we know that animals move and migrate through the day but seeing their “regular hangouts” is beneficial for those who have no background on Yellowstone, as we did our very first trip there many years ago. Best learning app ever!

The tittle, I really mean it! I have learned a lot, and my kids to of course, about Yellowstone and the animals and sites. The fun facts are so cool and the titles are really creative. We came for a science field trip and learned a lot of stuff in the app and we are so engaged in the app, that we have marked animals on the animal challenges and finished a couple already, and we only had the app for one day in Yellowstone! The app is very helpful and engaging in wildlife.

I wish there were details of sightings

This app appears to be the best I see today if you’re looking for a resource of what wildlife was seen where today. But I wish there were details about the sighting (for example: There’s a carcass, there’s a wolf den, there’s a sow with Cubs, etc). There was an app like this a decade ago, but today it appears the market is lacking for such a resource

We watch the animal sightings daily and there have been animals each day and usage has increased over the last month. If you happened to use it in the first few weeks when the park was partially opened, there were a few days of no sightings. We strive for people to have the best experience with our app as well as in the park, your situation seems uncommon and we’d like to hear more about it. I liked in concept, but in practice not so great

There is no signal anywhere in the park but a couple small regions near lodges. Couldn’t always catch our sightings at the actual locations. Was hoping that animal sightings were able to be specific so they could be shared, but seems like they only land in designated regions and not really where you tag them. Was at park for 3 days and only got two badges, needs to be a bit more rewarding to stay engaging. All in all the park is amazing on its own, so the app really didn’t need to be used to enjoy the wonders of Yellowstone.

The app pins within 50 feet from where you spotted an animal, with or without signal. We thought the badges should be more attainable too (as did our kids 😁) so we have pushed an update for that. Badging will be updated regularly as we explore more, find more ideas to badge and get input from users like you, so keep an eye out for those too. With signal it sure is a difficult one to “fix” since we can’t control the locations in the park but we are innovating ideas to help in this area. Fun for the fam

We enjoyed being able to learn about the animals we saw and it helped us to know what to look out for as we traveled. Great app, can’t wait to use it again on our next trip!

Awesome app

I was searching for an animal app for Yellowstone and came across this before our trip. I downloaded it on a whim and hoped it was going to work for us. After using it in the park, I can say it was nice to have and we wouldn’t have seen a black bear without it.

Amazing App

This app is fantastic, especially if you need help to know what animals are around you and to lean all about them. I certainly would have struggled explaining some of the details about the animals and plants to the kids without it.
The checklist also really helped to enhance our family experience of the park. There’s so much to see that the checklist gave us all a real sense achievement. Especially for the kids. Who haven’t stop showing friends and family what they got to see, since we got back.

Love this app!

I love how interactive this app is! Not only does it encourage the kids to learn more about what’s around them it also encourages them to engage with each other and get excited about what they have seen and they look forward to the trips! Fun for all the family!
