Can’t download video on iOS 26, when will this OS be supported?
Have to connect manually every time
I’ve been using this car camera for a while now, and honestly, it’s been more frustrating than helpful. Every time I get into the car, I have to connect it manually — it doesn’t turn on or connect automatically like it should. This gets really annoying, especially when you’re in a rush.
On top of that, the date and time are never accurate. It resets frequently and doesn’t update automatically, so I constantly have to go into the settings to correct it. That defeats the purpose of having a dash cam for proper recording and evidence.
Overall, it’s not user-friendly and lacks the basic automation features you’d expect. Not recommended unless you’re okay with setting it up from scratch every single time.

App crash
App can not use to download any more. It crash after open app
It actually connected to the app in 2024
I have been using a Yi dash cam for a few years. The app has been working since day one. Lately (2024 October) I was checking if i can connect to the app again before a road trip. I was able to connect but you need to manually go to your phone’s WiFi and connect the dash cam. Tips: You can’t rely on the automatic prompt feature anymore and you need to manually connect it.
If you can’t see the videos from the app’s album, just format the sd card. I did it on my pc and I believe the dash cam also have an option. Just do both and now you will be able to see the album’s recorded videos.

Worst app ever
Camera quality is good, but pray you never get into an accident because connecting to this device is nearly impossible. After wasting 45 minutes I just gave up. The worst app ever.
Very sub standard app
The app consistently crashes. Videos are not properly dated nor is video properly recorded. I’ve tried to work with this app/dash cam for months and have made no progress. I do not recommend this brand to anyone.

I have had this camera for a couple of years now and I have only been able to connect to it twice…twice!!! The recordings are decent.

Not useful at all!
I used to have this app to watch videos on my Yi camera and downloaded some as needed. I installed in on my new cellphone today and it didn’t work at all! It could connect to the Yi camera via Wi-Fi, but I could see preview clips but couldn’t play or download any videos. Does Yi forget their dashcam users?

Seriously this is the best Dashcam I’ve ever had. Please please work on the app. I’m trying again to reach out. I don’t want to buy another cam. Please fix. It freezes when I try to play back video.

The app freezes when I am accessing the video. And basically I can not do anything from that point. Unable to play videos from my phone anymore
Used to work, now is 100% broken
The app won’t even attempt to connect to your camera unless you provide your location. Even after you provide your location it still won’t connect.
STAY AWAY!!
This camera used to be really good. I recommend the camera and bought cameras for every single family member. One day, they decided to do an update that ruined the way you used the camera and it was never the same. Fire whoever messed up the simplicity of using your cameras.
Terrible app experience, bordering on useless
The Android app works really well so the issue is not with the hardware. Live video does not work and previewing the captured video is not possible. It seems like Yi has abandoned this app and no longer cares.
Download function is dead!

APP Won’t Connect!
I’ve been using my dash cam and the app that came with it for over five years and it worked just fine. This new app is totally worthless it does not connect ever. I have location settings on. I tried it both with cell service on and off.
Nothing seems to make it connect. What happened were you bought out by somebody it doesn’t care about customers? Please update and fix the bugs in the new app!

Very problematic
Works great on my LG G7, but on my iPhone 12 mini the app is a pain. It requires location to connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi (why?) and won’t load any recorded videos to view or download unless I turn off cellular data. I’ve also had times when there was no audio in videos in the app or in the video I downloaded at the time (audio was enabled). Video quality is very poor in the app, but normal once downloaded. Overall, very disappointing

App works great
Had a Yi Dashcam for about 5 years and it has always worked from for me. Never had issues connecting to the Dashcam and reviewing saved videos.
Recently reinstalled the app and I could not connect to the Dashcam no matter what I did. I was playing with the app permissions and enabled “Local Network” and suddenly it all worked again. Disable it and the app won’t connect to Dashcam. Sound like a security issue and not sure why it’s needed.
