Can't restore purchase
Game is decent and I was looking forward to a quick replay but it cannot detect that I have previously bought it...
Excellent and Nostalgic
Being a lover of this series since its start, an app game is a welcome addition. Sure, it's simplistic. But it's got great humor and unlike many level-based games, Yipe doesn't make you grind hardcore in order to explore the world safely.
... so, where's Yipe IV?

Nostalgic and wonderful find
I remember playing one of the early Yipe! games on my old iMac and being instantly drawn to the crude graphics and charmingly corny humor. I am so glad that there is now a way I can relive the old days of playing Yipe! I haven't bought the full version yet because I'm cheap, but I have complete faith that it will be excellent.

Off the Mark
There's honestly no reason to play this game. It's not a role playing game, more of a then based hack and slash. It's painfully linear, in fact the game says it best "if it's more expensive, it's better!" It requires very little thought to grind through enemies and build up gold. There are no skill trees or decisions to make.
The humor? Good lord. Maybe someone in elementary education would find the dialogue amusing, but anyone over the age of 16 won't crack a smile.
Nice try.

Super Addictingfull! ^^
This is really addicting. You can be a ninja! How is that not epicly awesome!? And you get to fight cute little green bunnies and wolves and stuff! Great for the average idiot/ninja master, but I bet anyone would like it! I wish I wasn't so broke, I can't move on with the game until I buy the full version... ^^ U MUST GET NOW I COMMAND U!!! XD

Yipes! I'm hooked!
I'm not a big game player, but I've been playing this for the past 3 days.
World of YIPE FOREVER!!!
Loved the world of yipe since yipe through yipe 3, then again in high school when they were all ported to windows, was reminising with a friend who I played the game with when I thought to look their old site up and it was working with a new game for my much loved iPhone! Yahoo!!! When I'm bored, or just wanna play a game this is a game that'll keep me on my phone til the cows come home, or they make the next yipe for iPhone w/ seme grapics changes and such but love the refreshed idea with the plant and idle hands addition!

Fun time-sucker, but not for small screen
I was a devoted player of Yipe! version III on the Mac. This is a faithful port of the same basic idea (though not identical and with improved art); and has the same mindlessly absorbing game-play and the same drawbacks. It plays like Rogue without as much randomness, having mostly scripted adventures & fixed maps. The character moves one square at a time, one frame of exploration at a time. That worked OK on a Mac, with arrow keys on the keyboard, but the small iPhone screen doesn't do as well.
If the developers want to make big improvements, I would add a scrolling, hex-based map instead of the frame-by-frame jumping; and maybe (though this is a big change in the game) more randomness to the map generation.
Looking forward to Yipe! VI for the iPad....

Great
Reminds me of the classic Yipe! games I used to play as a wee lad. You should port I-III to the iPhone! Also, I bought the game from inside the application, is there no way to change it so that it doesn't say Free across the icon any more?
Awesome!
Love this game. Had it for 2 days and I'm addicted already. It's fun and passes the time.
Can you add an option to turn off the sound or to add my iPod music into the game? Not that I don't like the sounds but I like my music too! Thanks :-)

Quirky!
You couldn't ask for a better RPG that incorportes fun, wit, adventure, silly kings, plants, ninjas (interested yet?) and an adorable villian!
