I want to share my recent experience with @YMGrad, a consultancy supposedly specializing in visa application assistance. It's a cautionary tale about incompetence and lack of accountability.
Last year, my F-1 visa application was rejected, so this year I decided to seek professional help from @YMGrad for my visa interview preparation. Everything seemed fine initially, but things quickly went downhill.
Despite clearly stating my preference to avoid the Mumbai consulate due to previous rejection, @YMGrad booked my interview there. To add insult to injury, they rescheduled my biometric appointment to Kolkata, an entirely illogical move given my Pune location.
The lack of communication regarding these changes left me scrambling to rearrange travel plans, incurring significant additional expenses. When I raised my concerns and requested a refund for these expenses, @YMGrad refused, citing their terms of use.
Despite their assurances of thorough interview preparation, I only had one mock interview session, and that too just a day before my actual interview. Unsurprisingly, I was rejected again, thanks in part to @YMGrad's incompetence.
Repeated attempts to resolve the issue with @YMGrad were met with automated responses, demonstrating their complete disregard for customer satisfaction and accountability.
In light of this experience, I urge fellow visa applicants to think twice before availing of @YMGrad's services. Their failure to deliver on promises and refusal to take responsibility for their mistakes make them highly unreliable.
