About

What happens to the lines that move you while you read? You fold the corner, snap a photo, maybe add a sticky note — and then never look at it again. Yomikaeshi turns that one line into a card with a photo and a swipe of your finger, then brings one card back to you every day. ■ SNAP, TRACE, DONE 1. Photograph the page with the line that struck you 2. Trace the part you want to keep with your finger 3. Only the traced text is recognized and saved as a quote card No copying by hand, no typing, and no reading the whole page just to delete most of it. Vertical Japanese text is supported, too. You can edit the recognized text on the spot, so small misreads are easy to fix. Want the whole page? Just tap "Read Whole Page" without tracing. ■ A LINE YOU'D LOST, BACK WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT Each day, one card is picked from your collection. You never know which one it'll be — and that's the fun. Running into a line you saved months ago often says something new about today. • Daily notification: "today's card," at whatever time you like — before your commute, or before bed • Home screen widget: today's card sits on your home screen, in sight without opening the app • Even with notifications off, the widget card still changes every day ■ MAIN FEATURES • Tap "Snap a page" and the camera opens instantly • Import from existing photos and screenshots • Edit the recognized text, add a short note and the book title • Filter cards by book and reread them • Share a card's text to other apps — handy when you write about what you read • Switch between English and Japanese ■ NOT A READING TRACKER No book counts, no finish dates, no star ratings, no TBR lists. This isn't an app for counting your reading — it's an app for meeting that one line again. So there's almost nothing to learn, and almost nothing to set up. ■ PRICING, HONESTLY Free to download, and free until you've saved 20 cards. From card 21 on, a one-time in-app purchase ("Unlimited cards") is required. Pay once, keep it forever — no subscription, and no ads. Snapping and tracing pages, the daily notification, and the widget stay free before and after purchase. Viewing, editing, deleting, and sharing your saved cards stays free forever. And if you delete cards to go back under 20, you can save again without purchasing. ■ PRIVACY There is no server behind this app. Text recognition and card storage happen entirely on your iPhone. Photos are used only to read the text and are never kept. No account required. ■ FOR YOU IF… • You collect favorite lines and quotes from the books you read • You write about books and want a stash of quotes ready to use • You gave up on reading notes because copying passages was a chore • You want to keep the words themselves — not counts and streaks • You'd rather pay once than subscribe Meet that one line again, with Yomikaeshi.

What's New in Yomikaeshi

1.2.1

November 1, 2026

• Traced passages are now read more accurately. When you trace across several lines, the text comes out in the same order as the book. • Go back from the result screen to adjust your tracing — your lines stay in place, so there's no need to retake the photo.
