Yoto mini is super flaky with the app
It's like 20/80 the wifi will connect to even stream yoto daily or radio stations--much less connect to this app. We have another yoto for sibling that is somewhat more reliable but neither work as well as our Tonie box

Buggy
I near about went crazy trying to get our Yoto set up. The WiFi names kept changing after I would select them so it kept saying it couldn’t connect. Then would have to start the entire process over again instead of just being able to try my password again. Then, after getting it connected, I went into the device settings and it hadn’t remembered the WiFi I just entered! So I had to do it all over again. I had to enter my child’s name 3x before it saved it, too. UI is fine. UX is frustrating.

Technical difficulties
I do like the content but my players are doing weird things like randomly sopping and not playing the newest episode (for the podcasts)also my phone LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING the charger,what’s playing etc. Also there are some podcasts I want on yoto like circle round and the past and the curious.Overall its great though.

The best totally recommend
Yeah, the yoto might be a little expensive but it’s so good. I mean you should totally get them my kids love listening to the stories like Charlie and the chocolate factory or Charlotte‘s Web while they like play and it’s easy to carry around. Love it totally recommend.
Amazing company!
I bought my daughter a Yoto mini when she was about two so she had had it at least five years before the battery went out and when I looked online, they offered a free battery replacement so I ordered that but it only worked for maybe a week so I emailed the company just to see if maybe they could troubleshoot anything for me - they had me take a few pictures of the internal compartment and verified the different serial numbers and then low and behold I opened up the mail today and they sent us a brand new one!!!! What a great company, no one stands behind their products like that anymore - on a personal note, I just lost my job due to state budget cuts so this really is a giant blessing for my daughter- so very cool! THANK YOU YOTO!!!

App is easy and necessary
This app is great and relatively easy to figure out. Just know only sometimes when you link a card it’ll take significant time for it to update but it’s usually very quick. Not to mention, we’re spoiled with how quick things upload to the cloud and then link back to physical media.

The Yoto is a wonderful machine that many children I know use. It’s great for kids to be able to listen to music or audiobooks without having to give them a personal device or other. It’s also great that you added the fast forward and rewind feature on the Yotos. I love that the kids don’t have to go to their parent and mag them about doing it through their phone anymore. My only hesitation is that is you try to listen to something on your phone through the app, it doesn’t save your spot like on the Yoto, and it will shut you out of the app every once in a while which deletes your spot. One more thing, my Yoto keeps offloading previously downloaded cards. Is it because it’s out of download space? I have about 60 cards on it.

My family has had a Yoto since 2023. My middle child and my eldest child both have a Yoto player third generation, and my youngest has a Yoto mini 2024 edition we love the Yoto with all our heart. And we just wanted to let you know that this is why we wanted to rate it five stars
