About

Your nap timer should wait for you. You set a timer for a power nap. Then spend half of it trying to fall asleep. Sound familiar? You Need a Nap uses your Apple Watch's heart rate and wrist movement to estimate when you've drifted off, then starts your chosen countdown. Less clock-watching. More resting. PICK YOUR NAP Choose 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes. Keep your watch on, get comfortable and let it watch for signs of sleep. WAKE UP YOUR WAY Choose wrist vibrations or an alarm sound. NO ENDLESS WAITING If sleep isn't detected, the countdown starts after a timeout you control. The default is 10 minutes, adjustable in Settings. SEE HOW YOUR NAP WENT Review your heart-rate chart and see when the app detected sleep or started the timer after the timeout. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Heart rate and motion are processed on your watch. No account, no ads and no tracking. The app uses a Mind & Body workout session for continuous heart-rate monitoring, so naps can appear in Apple Health and Fitness. FREE TO USE Every nap length and every feature. No trial, subscription or in-app purchases. Requires Apple Watch with watchOS 26 or later. Health/workout and notification permissions are required to start a nap. Sleep detection is an estimate, not a medical measurement. Made by one developer who wanted a nap, not another deadline.
