App is Completely Dysfunctional
Auto captioning rarely works, videos take excessively long to upload, and the app is terrible at doing its basic functions
Not even the bare minimum…
It’s 2026! Could y’all at least add landscape mode! A screen selection option like the primary web app has (not mobile… which is complete trash) so I don’t have to watch my professor’s web cams and only focus on their screen share would be nice. Maybe even something to mark off a video we’ve already watched. Not sure how much y’all charge schools for this service but I’m pretty sure they’re getting ripped off!

Can’t watch video in landscape mode
Can’t watch a video in lecture mode or even zoom in on portrait mode. I wish my school just used YouTube so I could use the YouTube app

Most overly complicated, slow, unreliable, extra step app I have ever used in a college setting. School please use a different approach app, the worst part is how slow the uploading is. 4 minute or longer videos have taken days to upload. On multiple occasions it took days to tell me the upload failed or cancelled.

Audio pitch is scaled by the speed of the video
It’s extremely hard to understand the video on 2x or 4x speed when the pitch is scaled by that amount and the speaker sounds like a chipmunk. Absolutely ridiculous implementation of video speed. How do you literally design an app for video playback and literally fail that basic function?? So I am forced to use the terrible mobile website that at least can play audio correctly.

The app is incredibly biggy, fulls reen doesn't work on any videos, subtitles don't show up and landscape doesn't work. It's crazy how bad this app is.

Crashes all the time now
Used to work pretty well, now if u try to fast forward with the slider, it’ll crash. If u try to tap the settings icon to change playback speed, it’ll crash. You used to be able to increase playback speed and keep the person’s actual voice, note it sounds like a chipmunk. Garbage.
Worst App I Have Ever Had To Use
I never leave reviews for apps. This one is so bad I had to write a review. So many small mistakes that make this app a nightmare to use. I can’t go full screen, can’t switch between different video feeds, the video speed multiplier is extremely annoying, and more. It sees like they update the app once a week and each time there are more problems. God awful app.

Utterly useless
The app is completely useless at the one thing it’s supposed to be good at—showing videos. Firstly, when you go full screen on the app, pressing the full-screen button only enlarges part of the video instead of covering the entire screen. The only way to fix this is by resizing the app in Stage Manager, after which it finally goes into proper full screen.
However, let’s overlook that for a moment, because the whole reason I wanted to go full screen was to actually watch the video. But no—it doesn’t even do that properly. This issue often occurs whenever the video buffers, even just once, including when it’s loading from the server before playback.
If, for example, I was watching from a certain point, the app doesn’t even save the last position I was at. And even if I remember the timestamp and manually return to it, the audio plays normally, but the video remains frozen on a single frame. Honestly, the website is more useful than the app—that’s how badly it performs.

Your app is not working at all. I can’t upload anything to my media. I do it, but it doesn’t appear there. I click search, but it’s not found. Fix this goddamn thing, I can’t submit my college work because of this
Cashes - unusable
App crashes as soon as you try to open it making is completely unusable. I’ve been trying to use it for over a YEAR and nothing has changed.
Use the browser version, this app is a waste of storage
The app doesn’t save where you were in the video like in the browser version. It doesn’t allow you to exit the app and keep watching like other services making it so you need two devices if you’re note taking on an iPad. The app restarts if you disconnect from the internet for like a second. Also not to mention all the glitches. I have to use yuja because my profs post lectures on here but honestly I’d much rather use the browser version than the app.

Lot of technical troubles
Doesn’t integrate well with canvas, which is the only reason I am forced to use it. Very glitchy. You can make the pause/play button go away when the video is playing, BUT IT WON’T GI AWAY WHEN PAUSED. WHY???? WHY would you design your app this way. Stop being lazy.
Completely Useless
Doesn’t actually play the videos, defeating the entire purpose of the app. I’ll keep using the web browser even though it’s barely functional on mobile, it still works better than this waste of storage space
