User reviews

Gave away free then took it away.

I understand you want a sustainable model. But to get users hooked on the app — when it was initially released as free and then charge — pulls the rug out from underneath them. No early adopter pricing to take loyalty into consideration either. If there was a lifetime option, might be more apt to support. But with the above mentioned it makes it hard to jump on board another recurring charge, especially for something that can be done in a wide array of journal or note-taking apps, even if we lose the cozy feeling of the nice space you’ve created for dream logging.

Don’t want to rain on your parade, because you’ve obviously put a lot of work into this big update. I’m just sharing some thoughts that existing users may also have but won’t say anything, just not pay up. I could be wrong, but to me it feels like user experience has not been considered in your new business model — for existing users, at least.

I’m not going to punish your good work with a poor star rating, but wanted to speak my mind. Hopefully it helps you understand the dynamics of how such changes affect users, and can alter their feelings about the app and its developers overnight.
