Bought a crazy expensive Yale lock only to not be able to even enter an access code. Terrible user experience- should NOT be this difficult!
WORTHLESS
Bought a baldwin z wave deadbolt thinking I could have a smart lock. I use myQ for garage and it works great! This requires a “gateway” not even sure what that is but I assume it is a smart home hub (I don’t have one nor do I plan to get one) this feature was a major selling point to me but it is useless.

What a waste...
It requires a gateway. Not a good option at all. Not worthy the time and money. Uninstalling, putting back in the box and returning it!

How about ANY semblance of a user interface NOT written in alien mongoloid and limited to four ambiguous data points; maybe a brief tutorial; and most importantly a description in that AppStore that clearly states you’re NOT going to be adding any switches, dimmers or other most frequently bought Seaver’s devices, but instead using this to configure a monitored/security scenario for one or rooms. It’s great if that’s what you’re looking for, but would be a huge time-saver and certainly not provoke such agitated reveries and rating from users that download expecting a cleaner, quicker way to add basic devices to their smart homes.

Not a full solution
Bought the light switch. Decided to install it while sick as a dog. It doesn’t turn on as the directions say it does after wired. Sit down to try and install the app. Little direction as to what to do. Directions are little help. Read the fine print on the box. It says the switch works with compatible gateways. Guess I need to buy a gateway. The app isn’t considered the gateway. Wonder how much more this will cost me.

This app requires a gateway, which is understandable, but not specified in the requirements section. So it's not a free automation solution, it's a free accessory to a hardware purchase.
But it doesn't even tell you what hardware options are available. You have to know that already. Not as helpful as I was expecting based on the app description.
