Thank you for your feedback. You can actually change the default keyboad behavior from settings (button with three dots at the top right of the menu overlay). I agree that it's confusing and will make the search-focused keyboard the default in the next version.

I can use duckduckgo, it's easy to start a new search and find the controls, and again it does not share strange features other browsers are introducing.

Just perfect
Super simple one tab browsing, no unnecessary extras.
I prefer surfing this way, multiple tabs can become confusing so this is a good alternative.
UI design is great too, not even a menu to clutter things up. Just a simple single button to bring up a few options such as back, forward, search etc...
One small problem I’ve noticed is the search bar it says “Enter URL or search term” but search terms don’t seem to work there.
Overall tho, I’d say that apart from that problem the app is flawless.
